Remove or majorly nerf poison concertina traps
I don't remember the last time I had fun going out any window while there's 2 other squads just to insta die without any chance of saving it because there was an unavoidable trap out there, as the bounty squad sets up traps on legit every single entrance of a building.

They not only ruin the flow of the game of rotating in/out of a compound, but seemingly just stay there forever meaning if the squad that placed it sucks and dies, they happen to reward someone else with a win because someone had the nerve to try and move at all.
I admit I don't know that much about the game, and I'm not some gaming mastermind warlord, but there APPEARS to be no way, mechanically or "skillfully" to escape an instakill trap you could not see.

Look where you are stepping, use perk, people saying - helps.

lol
love getting those kills. Especially when you gotta put them down mid-fight.
They need to add hit markers (like with alert trips and red barrels) so i know when someone dies and I'm halfway across the map.

You do know I'm talking about the trip mines that people put down on the ground and not getting shot by poison rounds? If you're down a bar mid-fight then you're instantly ♥♥♥♥♥♥, if you're not down a bar you have about 2 seconds of watching the last bar wither away

Honestly I like the alert tips and the barrel traps are fair enough but these poison ones... good god man

I had a feeling someone would say that... I understand it, but I also personally think I shouldn't have to use a very specific perk just to have a chance at *avoiding* the issue, not even surviving it. On fresh recruit hunters it's not that big a deal if it's lost, but if I don't even have a chance to get the perk and I die to the trap it just leaves a terrible unfun taste in my mouth :/

yes they are cancer and yes Hunt was better before those silly traps buffed the already campy camp playstyle.
However you counter them like this:
- antidote shot (now the poison trap does nothing)
- trait (the one that allows you to see traps in darksight 25 m)
- Game knowledge (traps are always placed the same spots every single game as people who play traps are camping Jimmies
if you step in a trap like that and have no antidote shot then kiss your ass goodbye.

antidote, vigilante, jumping to check the vault spot instead of vaulting in blindly.

I mean it just depends on player behavior that day. Antidote shot usually works wonders. I typically don't see poison mines where I Play. If ever. I take them with me in order to annoy players and usually put them in some area next to where someone would walk in order to obtain a clue. But as for those being a 1-shot down. Never seen it.

-All traps are avoidable.
-Vigilant makes them useless entirely.

Most importantly that trap trick doesn't work well in higher MMR players know that poison always comes first, so as soon as they hit a trap they back up or turn and vault back out and don't immediately try and mend or push forward. Thus negating it's "instant kill" potential.

Seriously, I used to use this, but once I got to 5 stars I stopped using it because it literally almost never works anymore.

What are you talking about the concertian comes first in this trap combo
Wulfric Dec 27, 2022 @ 7:29am
as stated antidote shot negates kill part of trap combo. and always put wire first it pops the poison so they cant vault out.

"Waah Waah I play the game without looking and I die?! I should auto win every match!"

Time to grow up and learn how to play the game instead of demand EVERYTHING be nerfed

No.

Antidote shot and bloodless. Please stop asking for nerfs for things that can be countered by looking at the ground/shooting it/throwing anything at it. Most compounds have a multitude of entry points, area denial is a huge part of a good defensive strategy.

Oh, and as a last tip, stop trying to move forward/jump through concertina after it's deployed. Turn around and jump back out the window/door. You'll take way less damage that way.

Just watch where you are going. That's it, simple.
