When/why did Dark Tribute get changed/renamed?

I'm trying to figure out when/why My Chary's Dark Tribute got changed to "Dark Sacrifice" and why the animation got replaced, but can't seem to find anything. When did this happen???

Ive heard 2 reasons. 1. People were against the "self harm cutting". 2. I've heard it will fit to the story as Chary was making us give tribute. He might be overthrown in this event.

Just to keep things fresh, They are gonna periodically change the Tribute animation.

Only ever saw one single post about the "self harm cutting" and if it was that, Crytek would tell us. Personally I think its just them experimenting with things and seeing what people think, which is also why we got the new 'victory text' thing with SOLID VICTORY etc..

Just keeping the game fresh.

Think someone that completed the Serpent Moon event and paid attention to the story can likely give the answer about Chary. Might be able to google it too. He was a character in the even't background story so thinking the answer was in the final dialogue there.

This but I think #2 has far more weight. Doesn't make sense for everyone to tribute to Mr. Chary when the Lunar Pact's goal is to kill Mr. Chary.
