That seems highly unlikely, I had made zero noise prior to taking up my position. I've never -ever- seen a hunter just shoot at a random window in a long row of houses with numerous other windows.
Depends greatly on graphics quality. I played earlier on low settings, couldn't see ♥♥♥♥ in fog or night. Now, on maxed out graphics, I am headshoting every single hunter who stays in front of the window without moving.
That's so annoying. I even had a dark backdrop. Crazy that even 50ish yards away that stuff might not have rendered at all. I think what took me off guard was his reaction time since it was almost immediate. I wish I had it recorded to show y'all. I'll just chalk it up to a skilled player knowing what to look for in windows. I know I've made some questionable kills in this game before.
He didn't have a scoped rifle, it was a regular lebel. He walked over a ridge, aimed down sights, fired, and dropped me.
If your familiar with the map you kind of know where to look.
Another big place is at the Arden Parish. Lots of window peekers there too.
Also now with the new time of day map ( pinkish one) a lot of windows from inside looking out have the sunglare but from outside looking in they are clear.
