game installed on ssd
playing on wqhd 1440p every setting maxed out
I am getting between 65-75 Avg fps
RTX 2080
1080p 90-130 fps
3440x1440p 65-100 fps
I've got same CPU 1600 at same frequency 3.8Ghz with 5700xt similar fps at 2k 60-95
Wonder will 1700 oc to 3.8Ghz get better and stable frames since it have extra 2 cores/4threads?
Not really. I have a Ryzen 9 3900x at 3.8Ghz with a RTX 2070 Super and it's still all over the place. Anywhere from 100 FPS to 212 FPS (at the edge of the map, looking outward into nothing). Usually playing I bounce between 110-144 FPS.
Sorry 3440x1440 not 2k for me
Nop.
2560*1440 => 3.7 millions pixels
3440*1440 => 5 millions pixels
37% more, it's just not the same (and not same performance (30% less, I try))
3440x1440 is still considered 2k .. it's ultra wide and requires more pixels, yes . .but still considered 2k
