Hunters have 150 hp.
Learn the game.
Maybe, you just don't realize weapon's strengths?
This, more often than not a max hp hunter would survive a hit from Sparks
A full health hunter will ALWAYS survive a Sparks shot unless shot in the head. The thing is, shooting them in the body will drop them to 1 HP, meaning literally anything will kill them at that point, including throwing a flash bomb near them.
You're using a very high powered rifle / pistol that drops someone to 1 HP, meaning literally any follow up damage is going to kill them, and you're engaging them at distances where they're able to 1 shot you with a shotgun, you're doing it wrong.
If you're not popping heads with the Sparks, the real benefit of it is a weapon as a clean-up tool, or setup for your team to easily kill someone.
You need 2 shots anyway. But have only one bullet in each.
Its more usefull if enemys are down 1 bar or dont have meds left.
I would also say it's good when paired with a shotgun, as body shots leave hunters with 1hp it's very easy to finish them off. Makes even more sense with flechette, since you can tag hunter far away with flechette and finish them with a single spark pistol shot.
I suppose you are a newbie on the game so... yeah, git gud.
149 damage shot in one slot
Nice mix of ammo types
Poison ammo
Long ammo carrier
If you don't understand the potential of that I guess you have 10 hours played.
As in, when you need a pistol.
I mean there be always situations where every gun in the game is "less usefull" than others. So that reasoning is nonsense.
"when you need a pistol" is not a statement for nothing.
You can mix Sparks pistol with for example a shotgun, and you won't need "pistols". I even go sometimes with rifle + spark pistol + derringer + mandatory melee weapon. All distances covered.
There is a lot of possible and effective mixups you can do with the builds so there is no "obvious nothing" on what are you saying. Let alone say something like that gun is meaningless, when it offers many strengths.
When i needed a pistol, i had 2 shots.
If i had 2 normal pistols, i have 12 shots.
Tell me how the sparks makes sense if you happen to need 3 shots?
All the benefits you mentioned do not matter then. Thats how you look for "when something doesnt matter".
If you use the sparks, you have most of the time just a pistol with 1 shot.
