Years ago devs had a roadmap with milestones - features they wanted to add into the game. And one of them was private servers. Unfortunately it was never added to public games. They definitely has a working branch of private server build but only for internal use - for demonstrative purposes only.
FYI you can be banned if someone reports you teaming in lobbies with your friends.
How often do they give a ban for teaming?
Like my friend and I had problems with the lobby. We launched si alone on one map and informed each other as it happens in tarkov. We didn't make life easy for ourselves. But it was the only way to play together.
Is it bad?
I saw how two full squads of 3 people united into one. This is bad.
But if two people from different units unite into one. This gives them almost no advantage.
