How to report cheaters
Where to report
You can report cheaters that you find in-game via the official Hunt: Showdown Site [www.huntshowdown.com] (Note: You can find support in the bottom right corner)

You can also report cheaters in-game via the report function:
Suspected of cheating: this is for instances where you believe a player is using more than just their own skills to play. Please keep in mind that you should not report any and all players that kill you. Not everyone is cheating so we need to make sure that this is being used correctly so that we can prioritize the focus on actual cheaters.

Include proof/evidence
Please be sure to include proof and the cheater's username/steam. The best way to show proof is a video of the player obviously cheating in an unlisted YouTube video.
Make sure you explain in the report what is exactly happening in the video that looked suspicious.

If you're unable to provide evidence due to being unable to record, simply grab a screenshot of the death report. Our support team will investigate the suspected player and ensure that there is beyond a reasonable doubt that the player is cheating before a ban is issued. You will see the game ban displayed on their Steam profile and will be unable to join the Hunt: Showdown servers.

What we're doing about cheaters
The Developers have made a blog post regarding cheaters and the common misconceptions that give the perception of cheating in the game.

Wrongfully banned?
Here is some information on the "Banned by Game Developer." It's for games that use a third-party anti-cheat rather than VAC, such as Battleye, EAC, Overwatch, and Punkbuster. Most which you can install from the main game folder if there are issues with the initial install. Developers rely on these anti-cheats to automatically handle cheaters and in some instances, players can be manually banned by a developer.

That being said, not every anti-cheat is perfect. There can be exceptions of false positive bans, but they're highly unlikely and extremely rare. If you would like to appeal a ban or gain information on a ban, please submit a ticket here: (note: that tickets responses may take time, please be patient) - Hunt: Showdown Support [www.huntshowdown.com]

If the ban was issued by EAC you may be forwarded to their support instead to appeal the ban, if you know the ban was issued by EAC you can skip Hunt's support and contact their support here - EAC Support [www.easy.ac]

More information on - EAC Account Bans [www.easy.ac]

The forums are not the correct place to discuss bans or appeal them. That should be left with in support or in a private message with a Developer. Users are free to discuss anti-cheat information and cheaters, but spreading false information or fear mongering will lead to warnings from the mod team.

"I've been banned" posts will be locked immediately with a link to this thread. They lead to unnecessary fights and users will usually attack the creator of the thread. Make sure you handle everything within your support ticket as support has all the details on your account and ban.
