Then you are one of lucky few
Personally, I had to die 50 times before I succeeded.
What worked was to bring a very cheap hunter with tomahawk. Put down a concertina trap and camped
Then I waited and camped
omg, why did i not think of doing that. you legend, thanks. soo going to try that right now
I also still have the memory of the hammer and a video of that kill. Was far more enjoyable than cheesing it for .. having all achievements without having achieved anything?

totally won that round btw..
With Grounded Solo Necromancer, you can take your hammer and have lots of attempts in 1 game and with cheat death you get to keep the hunter.
This means you can bring a Frontiersman build with lots of traps.
Good trap placement isn't on doors but in good choke points, obscured by cloths or trash on the floor. If you do have to place on a door, break the door off the hinges first.
With conduit and a bit of luck you can reach the boss fast, if you bring a fast killing method such as a good melee (although you'll have a hammer on you), or sticky bomb, you can definitely bait players in with a banish.
If you arrive at Scrapbeak with no hammer there is a good chance he will drop one, just don't use fire or explosives or it will be damaged.
If a team rocks up, it might be worth killing 1 or 2 guys with regular melee, this will make players hopefully rotate into your traps.
It's also nice to be in a compound you like.
Not all of this is a guarantee, but a lot of this was relevant for me picking the achievement up.
