Uppercut is one of the most liked guns in Hunt - and its not overpowered in any way. This nerf only upset players for no reason.
Stupid decission.
Uppercut ain't no cheap ♥♥♥♥♥ - she has style and the price need to reflect that!
Anyone who appreciates that gorgeous gun glady pays for it.
ill rather have them balance the upper this way than remove its power (no sway, great rof for long, 1 shot upper missing 1 bar and so on).
It is the king of 1 slots for a reason and the price so reflect that.

Based on a study published in 1966 about a small unit of the US military the question rose: Is a gun leaning more towards male or female? At first the soldiers responded that guns are of course male, as they are a manly status symbol made by men, used by men against men.
Apparently one soldier said "Wait, we are touching them all over all the time. Damn, that sounds pretty f*king g*y." At first people laughed but slowly agreed with that idea.
The unit agreed that their guns are now considered a female.
This sentiment quickly swept throught the nation and is regarded as the correct answer to this day.
I agree with you but in some cases this is exactly how devs make nerfs. They look at data on the most used weapons, hunters, tools, ect. Then there's other factors that go into their decision. In most cases, whatever is popular will eventually get nerfed. It's like this in a lot of competitive games.
Honestly this doesn't hurt people who have massive bank rolls (like me) it hurts new players, players that die alot, and people who prestige.....
Upping the price of a weapon is the laziest attempt at trying to balance it.
275 was balanced in my opinion but because it had no competitors and didnt have actual meaningful changes to it.... their solution was to just up it more.
I think it was pretty scummy that they knew this would be a huge topic and intentionally ignoring mentioning it in the live stream, it was already annoying seeing how many people had issues with 150m bug range and weapon charms and just seeing the entire chat feed boo or scream no about it while they act like everyone is just IN LOVE with it....
It is trash, and makes it pretty bad, especially for the price. Yet, this is just how Cryshite does things... they think they're better than everyone else and try to roll their own ideas. Same thing with the Nitro for $1000, Avto, or the Dolch for whatever prices. They gimp guns then don't adjust the prices and they die to memeing. No point in bringing an uppercut when it's basically just an overpriced medium caliber now... and then when people start using those they'll gimp them, and repeat... forever. Really sad way to force people off a "meta" instead of actually making changes that make people want to...
Which is why it's been worked this way, to take some hitting power and utility out of the hands of shotgun players, well not entirely, if you've got a million dollars it wont matter.
That'd be fine, but they also nerfed shotguns (or messed with, either intentionally or not) a patch or two ago... so... I think you're overthinking how smart they are... and they probably just saw a majority of players going with the uppercut so they say "eh, force them to use a different gun so people think this game isn't stale."
