There's over $200 of cosmetic DLC, a premium currency and plenty more skins to buy with that currency. The premium currency serves as a disconnect so it doesn't feel like you are spending real money. Then there's flash sales and limited time discounts that are meant to break the ice and make people comfortable with making in-game purchases. Then there's the internal pressure of needing to complete your collection which is supposed to lead to purchasing all of those DLC's.
This is a tried and true system meant to manipulate people into making in game purchases and that's just the cosmetic part. Other basic features like quest slots, loadout slots, hunter slots and hunter refreshes have also been cut out to be monetized.
Even without understanding the marketing tactics behind it, seeing all of this monetization can rightfully make people uncomfortable.
anyone defending cryteks monetary schemes is either a shill, a buyer of dlc and BB's, or completely ignorant.
i would buy too if i knew the money was going toward improving the game in meaningful ways.
Lmfao, people are adults. They are accountable for their own money. If they can't control themselves, that is their own fault. Classic whiner saying people are shills etc. It's called marketing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, every company in the world does it
