Why does my game constantly crash "out of memory"
I have 16 gigs of RAM, the game just randomly crashes with a memory error. Typically first game of the day. I have no clue why it does this. I run next to nothing while in game and task manager shows barely around a 65-70% load on memory. Hunt is the only game that has this issue and I've spent a year trying to figure out what the hell is causing this. It's cost me countless games, be it extract chases or rushes in a compound the game will just randomly decide to crash. Validating files doesn't work, closing everything on my computer outside of Discord, Steam and Hunt itself doesn't work (it also doesn't even decrease memory load) Does anyone have a solution ? The last on I was given was "oh just use MSI afterburner and limit your Power usage to 80%" which did.. literally nothing.

Have you tried to test your ram?
I also have 16g and it's enough.

How do u know "out of memory" is this a error log msg from the game you get?

Have u tried out to delete your User folder? It helped to some people.

It either says "Error: Out of Memory", the singular tab I have open crashes because of memory (this happens as hunt crashes) or everything in my Task Manager get's that green leaf next to it which is for the programs suspending.

Also, I could try deleting the users folder but I don't know what else that would ♥♥♥♥ with.

I haven't tried testing it, I don't actually know how. However It would be weird for it to be the issue since Hunt is the only thing this happens with.

Well you can find a software to test your ram or if you can you can replace it and it see it the same error will occur again.

U dont need to remove by deleting it. Just rename it or move it to somewhere else.. User_origin as an example if u dont want to move it.

Funny you say that. This is with replaced RAM, I had a Crucial 16 gig card that only ever ran at 8 gig and it had this same issue. My previous laptop also had this issue.

So, I just rename my user folder and.. it'll generate a new one or ? I don't know when/if the issue will happen again but I can certainly try it.

Edit: I can't rename it, and I also can't copy and paste it.. it's 215gigs... wtf
Edit: To my edit. 150 of that is files sitting on my desktop.. so they kinda gotta stay there for now. The rest is in Appdata at 30~ gigs and I have around 30 gigs of Hunt clips.

Right click Hunt: Showdown in your steam library.
Click “Properties…”
Click “Local Files” on the side of the “Properties” window.
Click “Browse…”
Rename the “User” folder.

I feel incredibly stupid now, but I've now done that.. What do I do about the renamed folder tho .-. ? Does it just sit there if this fixes the issue ?

Will update, For now it's a pain in the ass re-doing my settings and seeing the new player tips show up despite being disabled lol.

your system is "out of memory". discord is an electron web app running using a kind of chrome browser, so you should kill it as well while playing the game.

Ok, but how am I out of memory with over 30% remaining. Discord doesn't even talk up 20% of what Steam does in terms of Memory as well. Additionally there is 0 chance I'm using the In-game voip.

It doesn't happen every game. I won't know until or if it happens again.
What about your settings? How much VRAM do you have? If your GPU's on the lower side of VRAM spectrum (2-4-6GB) try toning down the Graphic Settings down to the 'Gray Zone'
