Nvidia FIlters and gaming monitors advantages when playing at night or fog weather
Hi, I want to introduce a problem with this game and Nvidia filters and fancy gaming monitors with black stabilizations and such tools.
When the weather is set at night or fog more and more players are using Nvidia filters to get more details, clarity and ultra brightness on the image of the game. This is a real advantage when they can see you from 100+ meters in fog or night and you cannot.

Not all the players what to play the game like this ruining the essence of the game and appearance. Not even mention that playing with all that bright makes me cry after been playing for a couple of hours.

So, my proposal is that the developers implements a hunter "render or draw distance" to make the rivals hunters visible only when they are closer tan X meters at night or fog weather. Daytime can work like is doing it right now.

With this every body who likes the way the game looks can playing it like the devs wanted to be and the Filter guys can keep using that visual re shader or what ever you want to call it without getting any advantage.

Sorry for my english. TIA and greetings from Argentina!

They've said they never want any thing that imposes this sort of thing. Way back in EA they pushed you'll always be able to see hunters and never have the "you can't see me. Yes I can." situations. Which this would cause.
way back nvidia filters/hacks/reshading didn't exists. Now is like the can see at night like daytime.
Something must to be done.

So if all of us just activate the filter. There is no problem. Or just remove the annoying night map. They suck anyway.

Some people don't have the filters (AMD), some people don't wan't to play with them (some players) and some other people think the game to be played that bright at night (the devs). So i don't think so.

Devs never made night maps optional. So because i have to much light in the room i turned on the filter.
The early acces game was 10x darker. NVIDIA filters didnt work there becuase there was hardly light from the sky. They decided to make night maps more mainstream, and so they let the filters work.

My advice: remove the night maps. OR make them optional and 10x darker.

People are obsessed with filters yet many high end monitors can do almost the same thing.

As a solo player I love night maps regardless. Even if there are filter users I still feel far less vulnerable than in the day.

My advice is: make hunters make invisible at night when they are at 100+ meters from me. A nice transition fade out between 100 and 110 meters.

I now the high end monitor is capable to make the game ultra bright too. Is for that that my proposal is make hunters make invisible at night when they are at 100+ meters from me. A nice transition fade out between 100 and 110 meters.

Its funny, people defending filters. I don't get why crytek enabled crutches like filters. Tarkov got the right idea disabling them. I dont use filters and still mop up the filter players though. Its cool, half of them suck and think they are losing because people are using filters to see them so they just join the cheaters.

It is super dysfunctional how the lighting settings, or rather, lack thereof, works in this game. I see just fine in fog and at night for the most part, but one of my friends sees NOTHING at nighttime, especially in buildings.

How bout FOV dear gaming knights, should we force all people to set it to 85? Coz you know fov gives advantages.

Nah lol, would not increase FOV ever, firstly because it looks like ♥♥♥♥, and secondly since as long as you have decent headphones, it gives you mostly disadvantages due to the crappy vision quality and oveall distortion.

Yeah they didn't because night was dark. No amount of gamma or corrections was fixing the fact you couldn't see.

So Crytek could just switch the night back to being black. Then this wouldn't even be an issue anymore.
