Hunt: Showdown 1896

Best settings for visibility?
Hey guys, I'm having a hard time seeing enemies at a distance in brush and what not. Its apparent to me that they can see me clear as day. Are there any specific graphics changes I should be making to see better? I just got headshot from 230m in the middle of a forest area. How are these people spotting enemies so well? Shooting is the easy part for me, if I could just see the enemies passed the graphics.

There's no settings to remove the foliage. It's easier to see people behind the foliage when you know they are there. So if they saw you going there, just with a keen eye they can spot you.

Minimum brightness so you need a flashlight at night time.
Foliage is there for a reason though, there's not settings just well-trained eyes

I mean there are settings, you're just plain wrong about that. For example the SMAA 2t anti aliasing is super blurry compared to the other two anti aliasing options, which makes visibility worse. Motion Blur, Depth of Field. There are definitely options that make visibility better. Most games turning shadows to low. Ect. Ect. So don't respond with "well-trained eyes" when there are actual settings that can be changed.

Those are quite clearly not what I was talking about though, because none of those help you see people through brush.
They do though? Antialiasing blurring bushes makes it harder to see the enemies standing behind and within them. Shadows darkening the area making it harder to see enemies in the foilage. Regardless I wasnt specifically talking about foilage. I was just giving an example.

If you think you have all the answers anyway wtf do you care about what anyone else says? Just tryna bait people into being wrong so you can feel smart?

good thing about hunt is nobody can minimize the foliage like you can in pretty much all other games

230m headshot in the weeds is just as likely to be a cheater as someone who spotted you. That's why I put down this game for a while. I'd get sniped in the bushes by people I couldn't see from hundreds of meters away without any possibility I gave away my location to them.

The game still looks really good on low quality, so the best setting is to put the game on 4k and everything else on Low. (use the resolution scale slider to fit your pc's strength).

Let DSR downscaling and GPU aliasing handle it. Hunt's aliasing is horrendous. Especially in the woods you have a problem spotting enemy hunters because of all the edges.

The environment doesn´t render on higher distances or when you´re on a roof etc. You sit in a bush and can´t see anything, but your enemy doesn´t see a bush or only some green spikes.
But he clearly see you sitting there.

Same with walls don´t rendering etc. In this part, the game is just a mess and the devs can´t handle it.

In kind of vision... if you´ve a geforce, use nvidia experience and the filtersettings. The "pro´s" use it too for a visual advantage especially on night and fog maps. It´s pretty hard ridiculous, that this is possible, but no on still cares.

Not saying this didn't happen but in over 200 hours of Hunt i never got killed by anyone even close to that range. I think maybe 120 meters or so was the longest kill on me.

So i have a hard time to belive anyone in this game gets frequently killed on that range.

Imagine getting headshot by a dolch while running through trees at that distance:
