Health Bars
Can anyone explain why I get small health bars. I'm fairly new and just started wondering why the health bars are like that. I assume you just lose one tiny one which would be half of a 3rd but, I'm just wondering can anyone explain without sounding like a jerk.

All hunters get 150 health points.
That 150 is randomly made up of large and small chunks of 50 and 25.
When buying back lost health or when you re-spec your health you can choose different combinations for yourself.

The preference for one or the other arrangement of health chunks is a personal thing.

What Duncan said. The basic takeaway here is that if you play solo, big bars are universally better than small bars, most importantly by far the one at the end (first one to get burned). As a solo, you don´t have to worry about losing bars because of being downed, as that just kills you anyway, but you are still subject to actual burning by fire, especially when fighting the butcher, getting a hellfire thrown in your face, or having someone or something blow up an immolator in your face when you fight it.

Big bars let you recover to full without the need to banish, and also often also save you healing when you get shot from a distance in the arm, or take 2 hits from a grunt, 1 hit from an armored etc. You can also save 55 bucks per big bars hunter since you can take a small vit shot along with a big one, instead of 2 big ones. Just save the big one for a quick emergency heal to full, and if you are not being pressured, use the small one (after you´ve regenerated to at least 26 hp) to heal to your last bar for the affordable price of 10 dollars.

When playing teams, it is a bit more about preference as Duncan says, but usually people prefer small bars so that they can stay viable in a fight after having been downed, as having a maximum of 100 hp will leave you a one-tap to almost any weapon to the chest at a close range, which is obviously a huge disadvantage.

On the other hand, it still saves on healing and helps against burning, so if you perhaps don´t like the prospect of fighting on even when only missing 25 hp, you might as well just take a big bar at the end and reap the benefits without being subjected to the disadvantages it normally brings. Just extract once you´ve been downed and you´re sorted (assuming your teammates are down with that ofc).

♥♥♥♥, this is kinda long for a basic takeaway. Oh well.
