All other pistols dont bother with especially the uppercut and chain pistol. Their accuracy in fanning is beyond horrible.
I had the same experience with it
Scottfield Swift, really great to reload in 2 sec 6 bullets, you can kill a guy, reload faster and engage other ennemies quickly.
These 3 pistols are very accurate in fanny mode.
Not a good idea :
Uppercut, after the second bullets, you lost the target, need to fire 2 bullets by 2 to avoid firing at 3 meters to the target... but 2 per 2, it's very impressive.
Chain pistol, if you fire all the bullets, I think only 2 on 15 bullets hit your target... no really don't use this chain pistol. LeMat will be more accurate and have 9 bullets.
Nagant : not enough damage, and when fanny use, you hit legs or arms and do so few damages...
Fanny is very useful if you can kill the ennemy in 2 or 3 bullets, so in one second to avoid that ennemy kills you with a shotgun or anything else by reaction. So if ennemy sees you with a shotgun, fanny or not you die. But in other case you need to kill him quickly. So why LeMat, Scottfield Swift or Caldwell Conversion are very useful for this because accuracy and damage, very quick.
2. Conversion Pistol
3. Scottfield Swift
Anything else is too inaccurate to consider tbh. I pick the LeMat over the conversion simply because it has more rounds in the barrel, whilst maintaining pretty much as good accuracy as the conversion pistol. The new Scottfield variant is also pretty decent, and reloads way faster than any other sidearms, but just we wary of the ammo you waste if you don't empty the barrel.
I know the chain pistol looks amazing at first sight, but from my experience, it's actually pretty bad due to its terrible accuracy. Great for spamming, but massively reliant on RNG. So many times I've failed to land two shots with fanning on this sidearm, that I gave up on it. I've since had far more success using the sidearms listed above.
Wouldn't it be fun to try it yourself???
Brilliant Game Design, Crytek, just absolutely brilliant.
Size of scattering G1 smallest:
Rate of fire F1 fastest:
Stability S1 least (not exactly, didn't pay that much attention):
Full Metal Jacket does not affect anything
High velocity affects stability
Officer and New Army cannot be used with Fanning.
G1:
Caldwell Conversion F1 S1
Scottfield + swift F3 S2
G2:
Caldwell Pax F2 S2
G3:
Nagant F1 S1
LeMat MK2 F2 S1
G4:
Nagant silencer F1 S1
Caldwell Chain F2 S2.5 (more to the side but otherwise S2
G5:
Scottfield Spitfire F3 S3
I didn't have an uppercut to test at the moment. (Probably G5/6: and F3/4 and S4).
I have not tested any variants that are not listed above and therefore did not include them in the comparison!
When reloading, most revolvers are basically the same (apart from certain variants)
It can be said that the larger the ammunition, the longer it takes to reload. The Lemat filled was slightly faster than the others.
Don't forget the weapons where the drum can be folded out, throw them all out when the revolver is empty.
If you want a tight crosshair then the nagant / regular conversion FMJ are good.
If you want to just throw bullets at people (and pray to RNGesus) go with the chain conversion or a schofield swift with a springfield for spare ammo.
LeMat FMJ is somewhat in the middle. Decent accuracy / damage and 9 bullets.
Haven't used the pax in a while, but I remind it being quite good with fanning.
conversion chain pistol ist great in close combats when you dont need much accuracy because the big magazine. you can spray for some seconds.
otherwise i think the basic conversion or scottfield swift.
Double the gun, double the fun.
