35 minutes... waiting for someone to get out of the boss lair.
Teammate got inside... died instantly to a Caldwell DB Shotgun. Not to mention poison traps covering all the entrances.

JESUS, what happened to this game?

My suggestion:

Whenever a Bounty is killed, and/or Banished, the lair gets overgrown with a deadly substance that deals damage over time to Hunters that happened to be in the radius. This addition alone would make matches more interesting, or shall I say - camper free (to a certain extent), without tampering with the gameplay too much.

all teams waiting for something to happen because they can't really do anything without taking enormous risks is not fun.

I think there are a few changes that could be made to remedy for this ;
* the most costly would be to redesign Boss lairs to be more open/have more sneaky entrances/exits. And even then shotgun campers would still be advantaged because you still have to get to the bounty.
* there are people that suggest making the boss respawn after a time if the bounty is not picked up. imho it's a bit harsh to the team that banished that would have burned resources for nothing, and might genuinely be surrounded by 3 teams.
* another that has been talked about here and is rather simple would be to allow the bounty to be taken from a distance by anyone the way we already can with serpent (say, if it hasn't been taken after 5 mins) ; it would break stalemates and I believe everyone, include those in the lair, would have a fair shot to get away with it.
* another potential idea would be to make everyone around the boss lair be visible in darksight without the use of bounty (maybe obfuscated a bit like in quickplay) ; that would give all players an even ground to try to kill each other for the bounty.
* last one : make AI spawn in and around the lair more and more frequently to make it easier for an opportunity to engage to arise from both sides ; it might be hard to make it work as intended though.

hunt is a campheavy and campfriendly game, thats just the games nature. Just leave the match if noone is coming out and you dont have the tools to push in. New game new luck. Dont bother waiting or trying to push, you are in a big disadvantage when they have traps and shotguns, they hear you coming miles away anyway.

Awful idea
The issue of K/D farming makes my idea awful. Perhaps there should be a re-design of compounds... I don't really know, honestly.

I still think that the idea of Lair Overgrowing Deadly Substance would increase the risk - reward value for each gunfight. That's because the team inside, and outside the boss lair, can still outplay or be outplayed - making the game more reliant on gunskill, than luck.

Wrong.

People inside the lair could still outplay the enemy. Only difference being that the game would be more reliant on map knowledge, as well as gun skill...

Then again, that's your opinion. I am here to give ideas, receive suggestions, not to brag about something that is out of my control.

Yes, redesign the game for the dude that has 10 hours ingame, by making going for boss pointless, when you can simply locate the boss and sit outside waiting for everyone else to show up, since killing the boss is now even more of a liability because you will be forced outside no matter how many teams camp around. Real big brain hours, i hope the devs get right on that.

All I see is Cains camping inside the lair, with either shotguns/bows/explosive c-bows with both bounties lying on the ground.

I mean... I understand your point of view, but I think there is a different issue altogether, apart from people not going for the bounty.

yeah lets force the bounty out of the layer right into 4 enemy teams.... makes sense

If they made any sort of change based on your suggestion the game would be even slower because of instead camping in the lair, people would camp and crawl all around it everywhere else since literally nobody want to be forced outside with the bounty. If campiness is an issue for you, you literally dont know how worse it would be. Instead of having to face some noobs with shotguns you would have everyone staying away with a scoping hoping and waiting to be the last hombres to the party.

Once again... aren't people doing that already? I now see more Mosin Snipers than ever.
Perhaps serpent should be a permanent perk? I don't know.

I'm open for your suggestions then, because it seems that you have an idea.
