MMR Rating
Does anyone know what the rules for MMR are exactly?
I'm curious what raises and drops your MMR. I assume killing players raises it of course.
But I'm sure there is more to it than that. Like if you die to PVE or Players without getting a kill does that lower it? etc.

I tried looking through the patch notes, but I dont really see anything that straight up tells you

Based on Crytek asking for info of peoples matchmaking in queues they don't know either, so you won't get an answer I'm afraid.

But the basics though, the brackets are super small so you'll jump all over, and it's based purely off KDA so you can farm it by going into a match, camping to kill 1 person, then alt+f4ing to get out with no risk.

So MMR and KDA means nothing in this game.

picking up clues also raises your mmr. i once had a game where i was 4*, picked up some clues, got killed as a solo and lvl'd up to 5* without killing anyone myself. i think things like how long your survive also count to your mmr.

Interesting! I've been doing some experimenting and I think having players kill you lowers your MMR. (Without getting kills). I have also been getting clues so it must factor in a small amount. From what I've been able to gather tho.

Time alive = MMR
Kills = MMR
Possibly clues = MMR

To lose MMR you need to be killed by players without doing any of the above.

What I do know for sure tho.. Getting kills raises MMR. And getting killed (By players) without getting kills lowers it. Go figure lol.

Hope this helps!

If someone is around your rank, then your MMR won't be affected as much.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell.

Good to know man thank you for your input!
Only player kills/death to player give you MMR, the players who you killed/get killed by MMR matter how much you gain/loose.

You get NOTHING if you kill red-skull revived players. That sucks big time.
why not look for a youtube video or do a quick google search?!

can't you guys help yourself?!

it's purely based on who you kill and whom you get killed by.

it's an invisible number between 0 and 5000. look at the graph in-game.

kill a person with more ELO (higher MMR) and you gain a lot.
kill a person with less and you gain only a little.

get killed by a person with higher ELO = almost no points are deducted.
getting killed by a player with lower ELO will deduct a lot of points.

the larger the difference in MMR, the more points you gain or lose.

it's the same system used in many other games, e.g. online-chess.

it's really straightforward. it's pvp kills, assist and deaths. + or - additional points based on mmr gap between killer and the killed.

Also if you get farmed over and over by bad team revives that will faster tank your mmr.

This is how it's supposed to work, but there's something odd about the system.

I took almost four weeks off from Hunt during December where I normally play with a friend who streams, when I came back I had gone from a 5 star rating down to a 4 star. Confused and thinking perhaps I was just remembering it wrong I looked at the last match I had played before the break on my friend's VoD and it confirmed I was at 5 stars at the end of that match, his rating had not changed but his wife's (who also plays with us on stream) had also dropped a star. Can't find anything about it in any off the patch notes to confirm but it would seem there's some rating decay built in when inactive?

after 14 days, your MMR starts to decay.

it's only a temporary decay, it will quickly go back to normal if you perform like you did before.

KDA means a lot of things bro?
Maybe you have 1.5 KDA so you want to tell yourself that is nothing.
If you’re good at the game. Eventually you get 2-3 KDA by playing the game aggressively.
Anyone below 2 KDA are basically trash

Thanks... that explains it.

Is it possible to go below 3 star MMR? Like my hunter is 3 star MRR. But my match MMR is 2 star. Can my hunter go below 3?
