I know that’s the reason why some new players I know being knuckles and knives.
Knuckles for imolator and zombies is my guess
The range is everything in melee.
1. Knife is for Armored, Hellhounds, and players as it does more damage. It cost more stamina to use with heavy attacks, but on certain enemies you want them dispatched quickly. Mostly players.
2. Knuckles take less stamina, but is good for clearing the fodder zombies. It does less damage than the knife though and will not one shot Hunters unless you hit them in the head. It also takes more hits to kill armored and Hellhounds. All of which you want dispatched ASAP. Also is used for Immolator’s to not set them off. The biggest reasons are stamina management against a zombie horde and Immolator’s of course.
3. Knuckle-knife does not one shot like knuckles does not one shot. In a LOT of situations that can cost you the match. If you have Hellhounds on you, the last thing you want is to have to hit them twice at the least, most of all if it’s a 4 pack and you have a team shooting at you. Plus, it’s more time consuming on Immolator’s, Armored, and players.
With knuckle-knife you are trading power and stamina management for versatility via opening up another Tool slot. This slot can be used for something like a Derringer or such. It’s a risk/reward. To bring a Knuckle-knife, one which more often than not the risk outweighs the reward for most players, and that’s why it is not commonly used.
in most cases i use the weaponstock for Immo and knife vs everything else, but yeah that way immo takes much time and about the whole stam
This is the top shelf reason to bring both. If you get caught in a situation where you agro an Immolator while fighting other players, having Knuckles can help deal with it quickly.
Also, just in general, its a lot faster to deal with Immolators than trying to hit them with the end of your weapon while looking for clues.
I also believe the Knuckles are stronger versus the Butcher. He is weak against blunt weapons.
Yeah, I think you're right. I just started playing against recently and forgot. Ether way, some Bounties are weak vs one or the other.
