Avast Premier detected Win32BogEnt Malware and moved Hunt Game.exe to Virus Chest. Anyone else having this issue?

Avast is notorious for being a pile of shady software that pretends to do something productive. It gives you an impression of constantly "finding" and "fighting" something. Giving you an illusion that you need it.

Good antiviruses barely ever show themselves to you, unless it's something at least semi-important.

If you have good web-browsing habits and don't connect other people's devices (containing, like, flash memory or whatever), then your chance of getting a virus is practically zero. In this case you might not even need an antivirus.

Just don't go cheap on your router instead.

Yes. I had the same. I told Avast not to poke its nose where it doesn't belong. :)

Note: it said it is a suspicion, not actual proof. However, it did classify (not just suspect) an actual threat (IDP.ALEXA.53) in Razer Synapse 3. LOL

Stop using Avast it can be problematic and use windows defender instead it's much better & free.

Avast isn't the issue. It's malware reported by the anti-virus software that didn't allow the game to run cause the Hunt exe file was placed in the virus chest. The solution was simple: Just verify the integrity of the game that replaces the missing file . . . i.e., Hunt/properties/local files/integrity.

I downloaded Razer Synapse 3 from the official support site (instead of using the auto-updater, which was tagged by Avast). That didn't trigger the anti-virus. So not sure what happened. Avast went nuts? :D Nevertheless, I didn't have my drivers properly installed for a night. :D
