As for OP the last Free week-end was in December 2019 apparently so you might not want hold your breath on this.
Best I can advise is to buy the game and try for 2h, if you do so, try to avoid the tutorial because it takes a while to do. When I bought with a friend we basically could play for 20mn before being over the 2h mark.
If you look at the player numbers on Steam they have been increasing slowly but steadily over the last year or two. If the Devs maintain a decent update schedule, those numbers should continue to grow and maybe faster. I can't see how they would need a free weekend, really.
But for example, I bought one more copy of hunt for 18€ and gave access to that account to any friend who wanted to test the game first.
ask pution
tarkov never had that issue when it costs nearly 2x the price for the base...
most people avoid this game
cause cyteks ownership/ceo's scamming/high rotational dev team history is not private news in fact their company always does something news worthy stupid every few months. as well as the constant GLASSdoor reports on them.
as well as them naming all their skins as ( dlc ) in the storepage making it look like a moneygrabber....
