I guess it's time to put the game down until the next ban wave :/

Every time there is a ban wave, or some update patch that does something with the anti-cheat, my K/D suddenly skyrockets. My brother and I roll servers, often dying to our own mistakes, or just the occassional really good shot from someone. Nothing overly annoying, and sometimes it's just my own aim that isn't as on point as I'd like, so I lose. No biggie.

Cue two weeks after big ban waves, and suddenly everyone is back to being a super headshot aim god, shooting through walls, shooting through tons of bushes and trees, and it doesn't matter if I'm running, jumping, zig zagging through a building.

There are people openly bragging about cheating on YouTube; you can go look up the vids themselves, where they showcase a secondary account using walls and aimbots, and saying "day 150 of not being banned, lol".

These people generally chill out when a big anti-cheat update is rolled out, or they hear about a ban wave. Or they get banned, make a new account, wait until the cheat makers give the all clear, and then they roll right back out with a new account and just wipe servers with a regular Winfield-C scoring double headshots beyond 150 meters.

I can't tell anymore who is good and who is cheating, because the amount of wild ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shots I get killed with goes through the roof every time a ban wave happens, and then a few weeks pass. It makes absolutely no sense that for WEEKS I can be dominating servers with my team, then magically everyone remembers how to play at the best caliber and just flick headshots with a regular Nagant Officer pistol from 90 meters while I'm mid jump. Or the fact you can't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hide from anyone because you'll be stealthily moving through a wooded swamp area outside Alain and Son's, and someone from Blanchet Graves just b-lines it to your position and throws a grenade in your lap.

Yeah this is getting old. Yesterday I died to a chinese dude with multiple VAC bans on record who was wall hacking. 47 hours in game, already has 100 headshot achivement the whole nine yards... on US East mind you.

Tonight, i'm sitting in one of the little houses outside Arden as the team inside banishes boss. I hear a team on the other side of Prison set off the dogs. I'm watching the windows toward Arden... I get shot in the back of the head from the team coming from prison through the wall of the house. I wasn't even moving, not even ADS to hear my Hunter hold her breath.

Crytek needs to buckle down. They said something about focusing on Anti-cheat after boss and map come out. I hope they find someone better than Easy Anti-Cheat. EAC is just too easy to bypass and Hunt is more popular than ever now. They are attracting a LARGE cheater player base.

Yeah, been noticing such situations in the past few days myself. Players seeming to magically know where I am, perfectly headshotting me in an instant where the situation requires a shot be ridiculously good or really lucky. I don't like to assume cheating but I have noticed.

Then again, could it be that the excitement of new weapons followed by a new boss and rumor of a new map is bringing back some veterans?

EDIT: After losing another string of games to improbable headshots that only make sense with aim/aura hacks, I'm taking back my skepticism. The game is infested with cheats. I'm a 1200hr player and have defended this game many times against the accusation it is infested with cheaters, but I can't say the cheaters are at a reasonable level right now. CRYTEK, FIX YOUR GAME.

Exactly. My friends think I’m just a sore loser thinking they are cheating... though you look and see they are prestige 0 Rank 100... but have maybe 12,000 total bounty however 100+ team wipe kills and crap. They how I can tell they are new even if it’s a private profile or they have their Games / hours hidden. Seems like they haven’t played many matches, but are able to wipe the entire sever over and over, getting out of every single match with at least 8 kills or more since they very first bought the game.

When i say straight, i mean straight, hemlock and hide, C+A then right across the map to iron works.

I was spectating a team that ran into the boss lair and basically killed me, and then my friend, with one shot each from a Pax with almost 0 aim time as he turned the corner. I was pretty salty, but I was willing to chalk it up to the guy either being super good, or being a laggy player who saw me a second before I saw him, and figured I would just spectate.

Guy kills the boss, and as it is banishing, she just leaves and starts running straight to every player on the map and 1 tapping them with the Lebel he took from me. He didn't search for them, he just ran a straight line to everyone in different compounds and 1 tapped them.

I recorded and sent to the site to report cheaters. Fast forward a month, he's in my game again doing the same thing. I just don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about Hunt anymore.

Besides cheating, what's really tilting me off the planet are the number of kills where I turn a corner, ADS with a shotgun right at someone's chest, pull the trigger, hear and see my gun go off, but then I fall over dead from a headshot and my own shot is completely negated because the other player is from halfway across the world because Crytek won't ping lock / region lock their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game.

Theres streamers out there showcasing the advantages of playing on other countries servers as well on top of all the other bs floating in the cess pool that is this games current state.
