Is this game worth it for PVE Coop?

I've been eyeing this game since it first came out but in general my friends and I are interested in PVE coop, not PVP.

You cant opt out of the PVP. except in the training mode that is single player only. (and the ammount of PVE content in the game would only be fun for like. 10 hours max.)

I don't think they ever will, it's been asked for en mass for years. My guess is maybe Hunt 2 will have a solo mode as they've built enough lore around the hunters now to support such a mode. But the dev team is really small, and there are actually still bugs in game that have been known since 2019 that haven't yet been fixed.

With that said, I play solo a lot for fun and have made a fun game of avoiding hunters. Seen some stupidly funny games. Once I spawned into a game with two pairs of double dulches and four chaos bombs. Waited 2 minutes and then let hell fly at my compound. Everyone on the map extracted. Spent 40 minutes in match killing the two bosses and getting tons of loot. It was funny as heck!

the game only has PvP & PvEvP (which is the bread and butter), yet i find that Hunt has one of the best PvE aspect out of every battle royale/ survival genre out there. The AI is somewhat decent and can be deadly at some point, boss can be challenging, and the unknown number of player remaining (max 12 per game) make your heart beating all the time.

Sadly no. But maybe you could like GTFO. Its a compltetely diffrent game with a diffrent setting, but it's a good PvE game.

I actually tried GTFO and was looking forward to it since the first trailer, but got kind of disheartened when I watched a video that mentioned that using a melee weapon to bonk enemies on the head was the core combat...

It just seemed like not our kind of game and really for "hardcore" players, which to be fair is who its marketed towards.

Really looking for something like Payday 2; that is:
* coop PVE for 3-4 players
* high replayability
* stealth mechanics

try killing floor 2 then.
Hunt is definitely a hardcore game. you will literally lose money and all your gear permanently when you die.
Theres also earth defense force 4.1 or 5. id actually recommend those over killing floor 2.

no look at the game GTFO tho if u want something like that I like it could be the closest thing to this game but with made for pve that ik of but the setting is completly different
