Learning how to lead shots
Hello, I was wondering if there was any way to improve this component of the game other than blind trial & error by simply playing ?

I have a little bit over 200hrs played and I'm still struggling to hit when taking shots on moving targets, but also I most of the times can't really tell if I lead too much or not enough.

Any tips ?

Unfortunately there is no shortcut to learning lead shots. You will have to put the time in with each weapon to learn them as each weapon is different. How much you have to lead your target depends on multiple factors; the bullet velocity of the weapon your using, how fast your target is moving, and the distance between you and your target are the main ones. Other factors include preferential ones such as the weapon's iron sights.

I'd recommend starting with something like a winfield with high velocity ammo. It's probably as close to hitscan as you can get and you can branch out to other weapons once you're comfortable hitting running targets.

Yeah.

Experience.

Use a winfield, that should give you the best understanding of how to lead with any weapon. Master the winfield. Master any weapon. And don't use high velocity to understand leading.

Be nice if they had a shooting range with moving targets..better than nothing.

We once loaded in our team and practiced duelling with each other, as the "friendly" fire doesnt do as much damage. Called it gun training ha ha

You just have to learn by playing. Every good shot player learnt it from putting tons of hrs in the game.
Also, 200 hrs is barely scratching the surface of Hunt's learning curve. I've met people with 300-400 hours that were BAD. Not even just aiming, but also things like map knowledge and general awareness. Keep at it, you'll get there.

Hey mate,

use trials to learn how to use weapons, also how to shoot on greater distances.

You can also use training mode with equiped weapon. Hit zombie on arm and it will start to run, there you have your moving target :)
