Graphics Settings Always on High after restarting the Game

Since the last patch I noticed that my game is always starting with the default high preset.
Even though my system is capable of running this with around 114 fps on average I want to set some stuff to low and medium to get 144fps constantly.

I checked some threads so I do not have any
system.cfg
user.cfg

What can cause this issue? Any ideas?

There's a game.cfg under the \user subfolder. It says the system regenerates so editting is not recommended but could be worth a try. Maybe you could make it non-writable. Not sure if that would help.

I Tried that but did not work.

I will uninstall and reinstall the game lets see if this helps.
First I thought it is Nvidia Experience interfering somehow but it is not running and also not recognizing Hunt at all so very wierd.

Okay I uninstalled the game. Deleted the Folder (there are still some files left)
Installed Again and it now safes all settings :)

hmm, strange. I wonder what caused that behavior. Glad it worked out for you though :)
