Those are all shooter basics, while thank you for trying it is at least attempting to be useful, what I mean is how do you get out without fighting everyone. I play a metric ♥♥♥♥ ton of shooters, most of them competitively, and this game seems to simply devolve into a straight up PvP shooter every match.
I didn't buy it to play a generic PvP FPS with unnecessary PvE elements pasted over the top as it was advertised as a "little bit of both". But from what I have seen (and the video someone just posted) it's basically just ganking people/camping the objectives, not actually doing them.
I should have read the forums more before making the purchase but I didn't and it bit me in the ass on this one.
*gets answers he didn't want to hear*
*ignores them and says it's the games fault*
Not at all, I got the answer I was expecting. Which is that the game is exactly as it seemed to be, a straight up PvP shooter with a thin PvE shell wrapped around it.
So I will just play something else.
It's my fault for looking at the games sale page and not reading the forums before hand which pretty clearly lay that out.
Actually plenty of games take hours like that or more to master, DBD for instance, you are kind of considered fairly new until a few hundred hours into the game. I get its frustrating, but this is not a game you just instantly pick up and do great (tho you can do great at shooting people if you are good at fps but that wont matter as much if you are always loud as ♥♥♥♥ and ppl hear you coming a mile away and just ambush you), there are a lot of mechanics involved that take time to learn and master, I myself have been learning more and more in my 100 hours of gameplay so far. Still have lots to learn and have been loving the game so far.
This is NOT a basic game. I have seen ppl die to pve elements, traps, their own hubris a lot of the time honestly, because they just try and go in guns blazing to kill everyone.
The best advice I could give you is be patient, take your time, use the sound in the game, and if you are solo, probably best to not go for bounty at start of match unless you are confident in dealing with at minimum 2 teams coming at you. If you have friends you can play with, its 1000% times more fun and easier to see how the mechanics fall into place. but I want to reiterate, the biggest piece of advice, be patient with the game. this is NOT COD or Fortnite.
Hopefully you get more time and start to actually enjoy the game as much as I have been. Its been a blast for me. Good Luck on your Hunts!
You clearly had your mind made up before you posted your question. gg ig.
It translates because literally every suggestion is how to be a more effective PvP killer (or simply "play more" which I ignore outright), except one, which is to kill the boss with sticky to finish it quicker.
If you read between the lines that means that no one actually knows how to play the objectives, kill the boss, and get out without major PvP @ the boss. Otherwise they would have made those suggestions.
That means this game is not for me, as I get more than enough ganking out of the more popular shooters.
If you don't want to buy a game, read the forums. You'll always find a handful of angry people to convince you not to buy it.
But the store page never claimed to be a PvE shooter with optional PvP.
Knowing the map well really helps when running too, knowing what areas will slow you down, what areas have little cover, etc etc
There is no middle ground between rushy and tactical in this game.
Its either adad or camp
I play solo almost exclusively
It can be done, but you have to play smarter than everyone else
Direct assaults are generally out of the question
Rifles are your best bet, as its easier to pick people off with range and distance, than close range combat
Your main goal is to ambush a team with the bounty on the way to extraction
If you can successfully drop a player with your intial ambush, you are left with a 1v1 which is definitely winnable
ONCE you have the bounty
Use Dark Sight, find the enemies, and run the other way
The boss lair is where the arriving teams will focus on mostly. So getting an early kill on one of them when they're approaching increases your chances significantly.
So if I understand you correctly, you think that if an enemy player picks up a clue, it shrinks your map as well? That's not how this works. And btw a good example of someone having played over 400 hours and still having to learn some basic mechanics of the game.
