Personally I still start my day off with a silenced winfield so I can get warmed up before switching to different guns that are better for pvp.
I would also recommend learning to play with cheap weapons like the springfield, romero, winfield series etc (anything below 100 dollars) so that you get good with weapons you will always have access to. I avoid guns that cost more than $200 unless I am playing a leveled up hunter and trying to prestige or max them out. All that practice with cheap guns pays off, and I am able to beat people with mosins and dolches because my aim and positioning are sufficient. Like most people say, anything can work. Oh also, ALWAYS bring a melee tool and a medkit, and it's recommended to bring at least one vitality shot unless you have all the medical traits.
