Random 3rd member when duo queuing

I'm new but is there an option to get a random third member if im duo queuing with a friend? If not.. is that a possible feature in the future?

No there isn't an option for that, closest thing you can do is use their Discord to find yourselves a random third.
It's unlikely they'll add that option in the future, seeing as they've never expressed any desire to

Best really you can do is queue trios at the exact same time as your friend. Chances are you get each other and random third if you time it right.

ELO, K/D, and such does not matter. When I was really bad at the game a friend of mine who has a 5.0+ K/D and everything was able to get me consistently when my K/D was 0.46 and such.

i have been asking for this a long time,there are very few who needs this feature so no one cared.
If you matchmake with your friend at the same time 99 times of 100 you will be in the same team,but note you will only be in same team if both are' 0 prestige , rank 100 or below' OR both are' prestige 1 or above'.You wont be matched if you are prestige 0 and you friend is prestige 1 or above(if you both have prestiged once you both would be in same team).

where's your k/d right now

1.04 as of now. My older brother was supposed to be my partner when I got Hunt, but he quit quickly after he died over and over. He's not one to tough it out and take losses to "GitGud". Hunt was my first ever PC game and first ever FPS, and I played only solo. I racked up the deaths to 850+ deaths to 400 Kills after about 1000 hours as solo only.

From oldest, to current. As you can see, I racked up a death count. Then I got good at the game. Well, sorta good anyway. I call myself "decent" anyway. I dug myself out of a LARGE hole.

Playing with a friend and a random could be nice yes.

The lead designer multiple times said in a stream that this option would split the matchmaking even more and having a random mate while playing with your friend would result in him being the bulletshield while you and your buddy just leave him behind. This option will not be implemented any time soon and its also not considered

but when u play with 2 randoms its ok to get left behind LUL that logic

When trio was first released you couldn't even play random trios for months, you had to be pre-made.
