Selling looted items or guns
Why can't we sell the guns or tools we loot during the game ? We should be able to sell stuff that we find in older games honestly.

They have coded that looted weapons become different than purchased weapons. Making both the same would be easier to code than the current way.

I think it's because it would be way to easy to make money that way. Earing money is already not a problem and easy to achieve, except one is missing some game knowledge.

But it's true, sometimes i cant even stash random spawned weapons. It's kinda odd.

Yeh we should be able to sell contraband at least 50% from the original price or so.

Yeah it's kinda dumb, sure you could come across a gun that sells for an entire Bountys worth but I think that should be part of the game, if you got lucky or even killed somebody for a gun it should be fair game. Right now I feel zero incentive to pick up a gun i found unless it's significantly better than what I have.

Maybe put in a system where if you use the gun during a match to get a kill or two it becomes "legal". I picked up a Nitro one game and proceded to kill half the lobby with it, but nope, still Contraband and there it sits in my inventory, waiting to be pulled out on a meme run I guess.

I looted a crown and king + dolch in a game. Thats over 1000 dollars right there while the bounty is only a puny amount. People would just extract soon as they loot something expensive. Game would get boring and you would find alot more people camping with a 60 dollar romero, waiting to kill someone with a mosing or something else expensive. I say no to selling contraband, either use it or leave it.

This discussion was up years ago. Before money was everywhere on the map. Devs/community was in agreement that it would make it too easy to stack funds up. But since you are tripping over money now I couldn't care less. They already ruined the economy

this is the answer to your concerns

Because it would wreck the Economy even more.

Take a free Hunter, hide in a corner Till people are done figuring. Loot some Mosin or Dolch and consumables Sell them for 2000$ , repeat. No risk involved.

Then you have enough money to buy the perfect loadouts you want.

At least in the current system you actually have to use the stuff you looted at some point and there is a bit of randomness what you get.

That’s also the same reason why you cannot stack items infinitely.
During Alpha there were some instances of upcoming prices changes. People would spend all their money to stack 500 sabres. Price got doubled and they got rich

In my humble opinion contraband status should be removed by using in-game oil.
