Hunt: Showdown 1896

Hunt: Showdown 1896

Solo, sure. Single player?
Does this game feature an actual single player experience? Not like a campaign or anything but I would just like to kill and hunt monsters and not be put into any online experience as I do not typically like or enjoy online based games. Anxiety and anti-social tendencies prevent me from enjoying or typically sticking to playing online games. Call me every name in the book, Idc. lol I'm just asking.

The PVE aspect of the game is very easy, and there are some rather boring trials but thats about it. However you can go solo and thats a thrill, start with duo-queue as solo and once you feel ready you can challenge the trios.

This game is primarily a multiplayer game. Any singleplayer modes (trails or training) gets boring very fast. It would be like playing one map in counter strike over and over. And all oponents are stupid AI with knives only.

It's a multiplayer game, I wouldn't suggest buying it for the single player aspects.

There are Trials that are single player, but they are basically short scenarios that you can score 3 stars in. But it's not worth getting if you have no interest in the PvP eventually.
Thanks everybody for the info!!! Wasn't sure if the Solo was referring to a single player mode or just being solo from joining a team. Thanks for everybody for also not calling me an idiot like I had originally feared would have happened. lol I may end up getting it and trying out the multiplayer aspect anyway. I've been playing Red Dead Online and have also been playing a good amount of Mordhau and Anthem but have enjoyed them RED and Anthem have a really nice way of not (completely) forcing multiplayer on anybody.

Feel you mate...
Played over 300h Solo but just a couple of Duos and only with the exact same guy.
For me its totaly fine to play multiplayer mode solo -
If its ok for you to keep a slow pace and your head down you will dont even have to see a other player for the whole game if you dont feel like it.

If you feel the need to win most games its not for you -
But if youre (like me) fine with exploring, looting, creeping around and engage in fights only if you feel like it, you will enjoy the awesome looking very detailed maps, nice shifting daytimes and just breathe in the overall feeling of the setting.

You will gain cash and xp slower but bring home more than enough to keep going.
And every map has extraction poins where you can leave the game anytime you want, with all your xp and the stuff you hunted/gathered...
No pressure at all exept you choose to have some :cozybethesda:

Solo is basically single player. Just run a stealth build and dont engage in gunfights. This game is not truly Hunt without other players on the map
