Cant aim down sights

just died because half the time I could not aim down my sights. it starts to aim then goes back to hip fire position with a lebel. This game is absolute bugged to fook.

If your speaking of the bug im thinking of I have only encountered it 2 or 3 times in over 1000 hours. Its annoying for sure, If I recall correctly picking up another weapon and then picking yours back up fixes it. Of course that fix requires finding a body or managing to kill someone somehow despite the bug. Sidearms are generally still good to go while the primary is bugged.

doesnt help that i shot someone while he heals infront of me then kills me because im waving my lebel around

Yeah when you realize you got the bug unless you can depend on your sidearm if that itself is unchanged its best to withdraw as best you can, extract and the next game you should be fine. Sadly for now a workaround is all you can do since a fix may never come due to the rarity of the problem.

I seem to have contracted this same bug... I have remapped both "Aim Down Sights" options to various keys and none of them will aim down sights upon returning to game. Any updated advice other than the "play the game handicapped until you manage to kill a guy and swap to his weapon, swap back" method?

I haven't been able to ads since I started playing this game, I can only point it in the general direction of the enemy, but I can't use my damned sights for that fine-aim. I already feel disadvantaged.

Probably cuz you're using the hunter control scheme which requires an additional button for ads. Switch to gunslinger if you want controls closer to other shooters.

i got this issue after changing the settings below the sprint/ads setting, reset to default and rebind whatever bindings you lost and don't touch the sprint/ads settings at all.
