I'm happy with the Logiterch G815 Keyboard and G502 Hero Mouse combination.
Its waterproof, has usb-pass through, the switches can be replaced / changed and it allows you to customize the RGBs. Means: You can set different key LED-lighting for every application & game. (if needed)
But in the end:
No matter what manufacturer you buy from...
Inform yourself what kind of "writer" you are and what exactly you want.
Example:
Logitech has Linear vs Tactile vs Clicky Switches when it comes to keyboards.
And they make a hughe difference.
I'm using the net all day long, but I game a lot, mostly shooters like Hunt, so need something that covers both angles. The Saitek Cyborg v7 I have was fine, but had to reinstall windows after my pc had been hacked by a keylogger, and now it's not having it driver wise, but it's old and wonky anyway.
Something that has the modern gaming keys is fine, standard layout etc, and isn't going to break the bank. Maybe up to £200 is ok, but need to be able to get my hands on one quickly as using an on screen keyboard to type lol.
I would NOT recommend a Coolermaster MK850 - I bought one because I couldn't get a MK750 and it offered a firmware update through their own software which subsequently failed to install and bricked the board, hence why I have a Steelseries now.
My Keyboard is a G513 Carbon TACTILE (Tactile Version has different style of Keys) which has very high grade Mechanical Keys, which all have LED Lights in them.
You can make the Keyboard into some "Disco" or you can use the LED in a more usefull way.
I for example have WASD and other Gaming Keys in a Different Color, and after i pressed a Button i have it shine bright in a Different Color ..in a Nutshell those Lights are totally customiseable ,with usefull effects its not just Show.
The Keyboard also has an USB Port which is very usefull to connect a Headset or Gamepad too.
Oh and of course it has a (own part not connected) cushioned Leather Style Handrest.
It cost between 110-140 Euros depending where, but its not a normal Keyboard you cant even compare it to the 20 Euros "Wallmart" Keyboards... The Mechanical Keys are very different to normal Keys... they feel like the metal Keyboards on high grade ATM Machines and are super fast and reliable. The whole Keyboard is made from Weapon Grade Aluminum,i think its called 7075 ,the same which is used for M4 Carbines, and even its aluminum its very heavy. It feels like you could beat someone to death with it... and after continue Gaming without Problems... (at least mechanical ones lol)
Oh and you can programm Macros and add them to 1 Key.
This is usefull to put a combination of Keyboard Inputs to 1 Key... for example in a Fighting Game where you would normaly press Down,Down-Right,Right Button to make a "Hadouken Fireball" or something... you can put this Combination to 1 Button so you press 1 Button for a Fireball and not the normal Combo of Buttons.
My Mouse is also a G5 Series (G502 Hero) and also very recommendable
There's a good deal on this keyboard at the moment for £99 with brown switches. If you press caps lock etc, do you know the lock is on, as read a few saying you can't tell.
Works with Windows 10 ok?
