Lebel 1886 realism

Hello,
I'm a firearms history enthusiast and recently unlocked the lebel 1886 and I gotta say I'm really glad with the accuracy of the animations especially with yanking the bolt to pull up the bullet catch for the tube magazine, but one thing that's missing is the ability to switch the gun to single shot, the real gun allowed you to load 8 rounds into the magazine, switch it to single shot and use it like a single shot gun, until the need for quick shots came and you switched to the tube.
The single shot allowed for quicker reloading since you didn't need to eject the round that's in battery and shove it in that awkward tube magazine, then pull up the catch and then lock the bolt, instead of just ejecting the round putting a new one in and locking the bolt.
Are the developers planning to add this, purposefully left it out or were just not aware of it?
