But the question still remains, do you need to have dark sight boost seconds left when you attempt to revive? Because some other guy on a different thread said dark side boost is required.
If you are so helpless so can't realise advantage of being in bigger number... You need to change something in your playstyle.

That's why all the updates and features literally clash with one another. They just add stuff to try and rev up player count without thinking about the overall tone of their game.
Literally what should be ingame. Red skulls should only be revived ONCE more if they have bounty. What is live right now is a total nonsense

Now there's a REASON to do the Boss since you don't have to worry about bum ass campers that just sit outside and wait for you to kill the boss just so they can kill you and take your bounty.
First team killing and getting the Bounty from the boss should give an advantage to those that choose to be active and actually do something.
I'm tired of all you campers complaining because NOW you have to maybe get off your ass camping outside the boss lair and actually play the game for once.
First at all, you need the BOUNTY to revive red skull. That means, only bounty carriers can revive, whom are visible on map, can't hide and can only run or fight back. Reviver already in lower hand position.
When you revive red skull, you are losing 25 hp and become oneshot for some guns at chest. Plus, you can revive only by direct reviving, necromancer won't work, which means, being vulnurable.
Red skull player get only in two ways: being downed many times in fights or being burned. Being burned means hard to revive without getting shot. Being downed many times either player is really noob, or just had long intensive high mobile gunfight, maybe, with two or more teams.
Either way, you all miss one main aspect of red skull - fricking encounters with other players. You all completly excluding main obstacle that nullify all your whines and multiply it by zero - OTHER PLAYERS!
And if you somehow lost opportunity to use downed hunter as bait (Idk, maybe you should just camp body at least), it's completly your fricking fault. Lost runaway with bounty hunter - your fault. You missed red skull reviving and opportunity to headshot reviver (head wobbleness while reviving was removed) - your fault. Didn't kill bounty carriers before other camping party come - your fault. Didn't push while second was downed - your fault. Stop blaming others, blame yourself in your noobism.
