What is the current state of anti camping mechanic?
Hello, I haven't played hunt since beta. Can someone tell me what is the current state of anti boss camping mechanics? I tried to look it up on youtube and saw 2 videos with "(outdated)" in the title.

when you come close to the boss and any enemy is around your boss icon in dark sight is pulsating red and you hear noise, humming/whispering

^ Never really had any1 camp the boss before killing it yet.
Basically after u kill the boss, banished and claimed the bounty, u gain 5 seconds of wallhacks basically, so u do u dark sight or whatever and u can roughly see where players are, if there's any1 near u. U can use that to ur advantage. Looting a player will give u +1 second also.

Currently uninstalling the game myself though lul, just doesn't feel the same as on release at all. People with a 0.95 KD ratio somehow randomly get headshots on me through walls all the time, and the game just takes far too long to get into another match.

People camp now more than ever because of QS nerf. If you haven't played since beta, I'm afraid you missed your chance of having a somewhat good experience in this game. This ship has sailed!
Ignore Ceceli. He's been doing quite literally nothing but cry in forums recently because Crytek nerfed quickswap and he can't get any kills without it.


Like Shrek said, if you're close to the boss and there are enemy players near the boss compound, then you'll hear loud, angry whispers in darksight. This discourages campers. They also made it so clues glow red in the presence of enemy hunters and escape points will make special noises when enemies are nearby.

This has helped a lot of the camping issues and contrary to what some brazilian salt-lords might tell you camping is the least of this games issues

Really, Adam?

I play solo-- I've had losers a fair number of times that have found or realized they're near the boss but camped in bushes just outside of range waiting for people to pass them going to the boss lair each time. I wouldn't mind if they heard/saw me and it was an ambush, but I was scouting the area from many ranges for several minutes before moving in. I got jump-scare killed, and they did the same to the next solo, heh.

The boss icon glows red if enemy hunters are near the boss lair, as well as the angry whispers you hear mentioned above. Even if someone camps just outside of that range, if you are fighting the boss, you can keep checking DS and see the icon turn red if anyone gets close enough.

There are still other campers here and there. You have the guys who take a stamina shot to sprint to a secondary clue location at the start so they can ambush (Arden or Fort, for instance). And you have solo guys with long scopes who want to snipe from over a compound away. And then you just have random bush/wagon campers who are content to sit for 20 minutes and wait. They aren't in every game, just from time to time.

so the mechanic that in dark sight with the angry whispers and pulsing red on its icon was meant to be anti camping? cause for me it encouraged camping as i know there are enemies near by and i need to find them while not being seen or heard so i can ambush them, albeit yes they know i am there so it becomes more of a standoff lol.

I've literally made a topic saying that noobs keep getting rekt by me with long ammo despite it having suffered the QS nerf... So, I don't see your point hahaha

Also, I don't know why you try to act like a white knight when in fact on your review of Hunt Showdown you trashed the game and devs so hard!! Priceless lol

It does't matter if now we have blue, red or even purple clues... People are camping harder than ever!! haha Casuals noticed that even though QS was nerfed, they keep getting rekt. So QS wasn't the problem, now was it? And what do they do after learning such a thing? They camp harder! It's just logic; people trying to adapt.

Do you actually think long ammo is bad now? It's still the most played for a good reason.
medium ammo has no real niche and compact is omega lul.

If people can aim, long is still king.
