In Hunter mode you are by default in state 1 and thus have the highest FoV, the Gunslinger mode is by default in the hipfire state, so state 2 where you have a slightly lower, or zoomed in FoV.
But your FoV should get bigger whan sprinting in Gunslingermode, as sprinting makes you go to state 1 (no hipfire), in gunslinger mode too, i believe.
So on average you have higher FoV in Hunter mode when moving normally (Walking).
Hope that describes it well.
Hipfire has tighter fov by default. And since gunslinger has only hipfire mode and ads,fov too is lower. No big difference but it s there.
That doesn't work the way people want it in Hunter mode.
What people want is :
Being able to let go of the right mouse button AND the shift key once they are in ADS
What we get (in Hunter mode) is:
we can let go of the ADS button, that being shift (by default), but we still have to hold RMB to stay aimed.
This is due to the ADS toggle setting only applying to one key, the key bound to ADS which is RMB for Gunslinger and Shift for Hunter by default.
But we lack an option to toggle hipfire stance in Hunter mode (the keybind which is RMB by default)
So no offense, but the otion you suggest doesn't work, sadly.
We either need the option to toggle hipfire stance in hunter mode implemented, or you have to swich to gunslinger mode as there it works as players want it.
None taken.
I'm a hunter, not a gunslinger. I tried Gunslinger for a few games then stuck with Hunter.
I never realised there's a FOV difference. (I know there is, as found the linked document below, but it wasn't something I noticed in my gameplay). I guess the in-game FOV slider doesn't do what the OP wanted?
At this point, I'd suggest going with Gunslinger and try to adjust the FOV as much as possible.
Also, please read this: https://www.huntshowdown.com/news/gunslinger-vs-hunter
Guess I have to look into mouse macros or something. Pain in the ass though.
I wouldn't ban someone for recreating a toggle function with makros, bans for makros are more like making a makro for the perfect quickswapp or things along those lines, that give you a way bigger advantage.
But still you are right, there is a possibility to get banned for them.
