Audio question... New Headset
Hello everyone,

I recently bought the Logitech G Pro X headset and the sound is so muffled(I know the game is better played with stereo over surround anytime any day etc etc etc) but the question still remains!
Are there any particular settings/stuff I can do to enjoy the game with the Pro X headset?
Oor am I doomed haha^^
Its a wonderful game hope theres any fix for this! =]

I have no idea what headset is that, but I suggest turning off all the "features" if it has any, and use them as plain stereo headphones.

Do not use the DTS HEADPHONE:X 2.0 in that headset otherwise its a good headset. But IMO the Razer BlackShark V2 kicks its butt in everything but the blue voice mic.

Go open back imo, i hate closed back headsets for gaming

You want something with good precision and max binaural efficiency, don't buy gamer stuff, it's too expensive and has the sound qulity of budget headsets, buy good a studio headset. (but no mic, you have to manage it by yourself)

I see I don't have that "surround" fake bs checked at all.. I guess i'll have to play with the EQ until i find the most optimal sound profile for hunt.. also it had some nasty "cave-in" sound effect fixed that with unplugging the jack from dac and plugging it back in.. or so i think i fixed it for now haha! Wish there was more to do for this headset oh well in the future i know what to get and what no to I guess! Appreciated it!

Update driver, turn off all features, play, check the sound. Then turn some features. Check the sounds. It may take seceral hours.

most headphones sound quite muffled to me in this game. I have had overwhelming success with Sennheiser. They sound 10x better than any other headphones I have used. Currently using HD6xx, previously used HD 599. both great options.

For gaming Closed back DT 770, Cloud Alpha, BlackShark V2. For open backed DT 990, massdrop sennheiser HD 6XX, DROP + HIFIMAN HE4XX. Then get a schiit Hel or schiit fulla. And you will be set for years to come.

DT 770 is what the devs sound engineers use.

I've used DT 770 closed back and it sounds awful to me, very hard to pin point sound. everything sounds blended together.

I first tried my Kave 5.1 Digital Edition (in Stereo Mode) and it was better than my first tries @ 5.1 external speakers.

I bought the ASUS ROG Delta @ a fair price, changed the EQ to Gaming, disabled the 7.1 emulation and it kicks ass. I now hear everything more clear.

So my advice: Disable the emulation and try some EQ settings and you will find a way to get your perfect sound. Is there some Bass-Boost effect in your settings? To much boost can cause that you think the sound sounds muffled.

yeah i disabled the surround from the beginning i don't need it... but still sounds kinda muffled and stuff i dont know.. i did play with the EQ i did download some from the app itself...i did find one decent but still it feels like it doesnt sound like my darn cheap stereo headsets i had XD i swear to god i was hearing the game so much well.. welp now i know anything that has "gaming" in it. ( headset wise) its kinda not worth it.. oh well hope i find a permanent solution at one point or get used to it i guess....

I have the same problem now... I had so good quality ingame and could exactly tell from where a shot was done and wich weapon... now with the "good" pro x everthing sounds very dump and to much bass... I was just looing for a progamer config to download for hunt that could solve this problem and than I saw your thread... did you find something at the end that helped you with this? I just think about sending it back and using my old cheap one for Hunt ..
