Got any sauce? Obviously it's all there on screen, the stats are identical. Though it wouldn't be the first time cheeky developers made a particular weapon more effective against a particular enemy type or something of that nature. Taken from the description for Black Hand "The inscription - added later by another Hunter who stole the Caldwell from his house - is a ward against that which Hunters fear most: all-consuming fire." Other weapons have odd descriptions also. Just makes you wonder, but you'd need to be able to rip the code open and see for yourself.
I don't have any source, but it makes absolutely no sense for the devs to change any stats, because people would be complaining hard if they had better stats, because it would be a little bit pay to win then.
And by my personal experience, I did not see any difference yet. The style is different and sometimes the sound is a little bit different (only for you) too. That's it.
Our source is the identical stats. I don't know how we can prove to you that you're not wrong aside from that.
If the in-game stats aren't a good enough source, then what could we possibly do to assure you that they are in fact identical with no hidden advantages?

Bonus points for the Zim reference. To everyone above, I'm not asking the average player, I'm asking if there are any out there who have stripped the game and looked beyond the stats for different effects. As far as I know devs have never specifically stated there aren't bonuses. Hidden mechanics are a pretty common thing in games, meant to be discovered by dedicated players. Completely unseen in the UI but accessible in a debug mode. Not referring to stat differences, I'm talking about status effects and modifiers. I'm not saying there are bonuses or claiming to have experienced them. Just going on a hunch because of the odd descriptions and cryptic nature of the game. If you've never opened the game files then this post doesn't apply to you.
And also a PR disaster.
But yeah, if you need real data, I cannot provide that. Good luck with your query.
Dont know what you are smoking, but I want it.
Have you ever actually read the descriptions? You don't think a ward carved into a gun might have an effect in this supernatural realm? I'm not outlandish, I think you're all just too young to remember the days of hidden mechanics and reading between the lines. This sort of thing was commonplace in games 10-15 years ago.
