range of voice and text chat

Another question from your noob friend.

What exactly is the range of how close enemies can hear me talking if I use in game voice? and with text too. Is the range the same for my partner as it is enemies.

voip is maybe 15-25m....not sure if text can be seen by non-party members, unless or until you're solo.

I know the further away you are, the more faint the text chat is. That's about it.

I can confirm this. I also agree with BobRoss about the range. You can get a blank chat log(it still registers it, but the players are at the border of its range) from pretty damn far away.

I know enemies can see text chat because I had an enemy type to me and it shows it in red not blue. I guess I'm also wondering if the range is the same for allies, where it would be possible or not to communicate with my partner who is in another compound.
