Rounds of bounty hunt with seemingly no other players

Question - can the game launch without other players? Had a couple of rounds last night where it felt like there was no other players and in the end, there were in fact no other players. This was good from an XP/money point of view, but this also bores the hell out of me and i only play it to fight other players.

Have you experienced many rounds without opposition? It felt more to me like the matchmaking was broken rather than no people playing as there were a few rounds with healthy numbers then a couple with zero.

I just had a game where it was only me and one duo, unless everyone either died to AI or died to melee because not a single shot was taken before i had a fight with that duo and won, and next 20 minutes it was complete silence and i could take both bounties in peace.

Yeah it can happen. Everyone else in your region was already in games by the time you qued or something like that. Niche audience + times of day + hour long matches of waiting /camping..

sometimes you might be the only one, even if you're not the only one playing *shrugs*

Yep, it happens. Before the full release I got it a lot because I only have time to play early in the morning where I am.

Games like this are never going to have a huge gamerbase(Gotta be casual for that), and you'll find yourself alone as certain times.

Mostly happens when everyone else gets disconnected at once except for you and maybe one other person.

you got sneaky mofo's ... DC's .. maybe a player was getting called to dinner and just high tailed it to an extraction point as soon as they spawned .. some are killed by Ai .. some went and got a sandwich and left their player at their spawn point where they stayed for 90% of the game..

You think you are on an empty server .... but are you?

Once was on a server at 5 in the morning. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ around and got to first of two bosses. Killed it, and went for the second. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ around, farmed meatheads, finally killed second boss with ~5 mins left. Bebopped over the the extraction and at 4 seconds left a dude ran into the extraction screaming with an axe. I shot him in the face, but it shook me. Waited ALL that time

He should have attacked when I was fighting the bosses, that is when players are at their most vulnerable

Empty servers can happen when there are not many ppl online.

I think devs could solve this easily. I would rather wait 10 minutes in the menu for a populated match, than spend 20 minutes in an empty server.
