Hunt: Showdown 1896

Hunt: Showdown 1896

Very, very bad performance on good gaming setup. Why?
My PC is powered by an Ryzen 5 2600x and an RX Vega 56 graphics Card. No overclocking or other tweaking stuff. I only get arround 20-35 FPS in the game and it drives my crazy. Who can tell me why hunt is running so badly? Any tweaks or tips to solve the problem? Or has anyone the same problem? Oh PS, the game is saved on a SSD, if that matters :/ :(

Do you turn tessellation "on" in advance graphic setting? Turn that off.
Try lowest setting and use fullscreen mode.
Check your "Max fps" setting in graphic - basic setting to >9000
Update graphic drivers.

It is very CPU intensive got 1080ti going around 40%-50% but my CPU Ryzen 5 1600x all cores/threads high 90%

Welcome to Cryengine. I'm sorry to tell you but you have to wait for a performance update like i do or you can buy yourself an i9 9900k. If you watch the forum there you will see several posts about it is not new.
Short Update, i played arround a little with overclocking and stuff, cranked the core clock up to 4ghz and just for fun disabled some cores, went from 12 to 8. Some Overvoltage here and there and look at that, now i get arround 45 fps on medium settings. I dont know exactly which setting gives the boost but Im happy for now

2600Х+1660ti, constant 60fps, dropping to 50 in fog. Fine by me.

Strange, Could it be a problem with AMD graphics? Hmm..

You should be getting 60 at max settings. I had a rx480 and ryzen5 2600x and was getting 50 to 60 on max. Now switched the 480 to a rtx2080. Something Shure isn't right mate. İt can not have anything to do with your game settings.

AMD is your issue. i have a i7-9700k with a RTX 2060 and i run the game as high as it will go and am still averaging 100fps.... mind you im playing at 2k resolution on a 166hz monitor with g-sync

I used to be able to run this game with textures and object quality and best AA enabled with everything else low at 4K with an i7-9700K and a 2070 and would get 110-120FPS with dips into the low 100's. But now I have to play with same settings except at 2K and I get around 85-95FPS with dips around 80. So I wouldnt doubt at some point before or soon after 1.0 he could get those stats but wouldn't get it with every single setting set to the highest it could go, just only a few maxed out. But with Hunt's poor optimization since closed Beta, I wouldn't doubt that AMD plays a big issue but overall it's a hit or miss whether your system is affected greatly by optimization.

My old 1060 i5-8600K could barely get 50 unless every single thing was low or off then i would get above 60 but others with a similar or same specs could easily get over 60 with higher settings enabled. It's a hit or miss with this game on performance.

What resolution are you playing on? I get around 80 fps on med settings with a weaker cpu/gpu @ 1080p.
