Hunt: Showdown 1896

How do Legendary Hunters and weapons work?
I read the explanation the game gives but I'm still not clear. What advantages do Legendary Hunters give and what happens when they die? I know you can re-recruit them but do you have to spend blood bonds to do so?

As for the weapons, are they stupidly OP? I imagine they're just a one-time purchase and if you die, you have to buy them again.

legendary weapons and hunters are essentially cosmetics. the weapons are aesthetic/lore variants of whatever gun they re-skin with no other changes, and are purchased for the same hunt dollar price as the normal weapon after you unlock with blood bonds. legendary hunters are unlocked with blood bonds but can be re-obtained after death with hunt dollars.

Oh so they provide no advantage to the player? Awesome

How much does it cost to re-buy a legendary character?

Like the guy said, it costs 333 hunt dollars to hire a legendary hunter. It's always 333 hunter dollars.

oof. Sorry. I didn't make the HD=Hunt Dollars connection. I'm an idiot.

Ok that was all of my questions. Thanks!

It's basically only a cosmetic. It's unlocked through paid DLC or earned bloodbounds (premium currency).

Once unlocked it can be bought however often. You could have a rack of 10 of the same "Legendary Hunter Skin" in your roster at once.

They will each cost 333$ and come with three random traits that are (or that are close to being) unlocked by your bloodline level (1-100). It's basically a tier III hunter all the time without any gear, but three random traits.

Sometimes they can really be worth it, as they are quite cheap (333$ for a blank tier III hunter) and when they then have good traits on them, they are good value.

Once unlocked they can be used to "roll" a good level 1 hunter at the cost of hunt dollars. if you are willing to spend 333*X the amount of dollars, then you can buy them in mass. I usually buy 2-3 until im satisfied with the traits, and then dismiss those that had disappointing random traits, if I didn't get a good hunter in my selection of 4 after a game where I lost a hunter. So it can only be 'abused' this way.
