springfield useless?

what's the point of this gun? the stats tell me its useless. does anyone actually use this often?

Springfield: 42 rounds in a minute (firing and reloading after each shoot)

Vetterli: 42 rounds in a minute (reloading after use all the bullets). So, time between each shoot is shorter.

If you are 1 minute shooting you are too bad.

Cool sorry, but you forgot one small thing - you have to cycle the bolt after each shot and it takes, surprise surprise 2 secodns!

Not playing these kind of guns regularly, but every time I use the Springfield I am surprised how well it works... I hit heads like with no other gun. And its very very cheap.

It's cheap and does the exact same thing as a sparks/martini. Tag with the rifle, switch, tag again. Also, if you get caught too far away for that, it has the fastest reload speed of all 3 of the single shot rifles.

The Vetterli does not take 2 seconds to bolt. Additionally, the Springfield cannot fire at it's listed RPM of 42, hence the 2 second reload.

Please, tell me how the Springfield could have an RPM of 42 when it has a 2 second reload?

The RPM stat doesn't include reloading for any of the weapons.

Springfield marksman is great for headshots. The 2 second reload time is sweet and you get it super early in the game. Plus, it cost nothing.
