Last night I played about 10 or so matches, and only heard levering a single time and only once during that match.
So, circumstantial at best, but still, I think the only problem with it is it's low-skill requirement, not it's power.

Well, the power is there thanks to the compact ammo buff but yes, it's easily unlocked (I think you can unlock before level 20, not sure) and it only costs 3 trait points.

Come to think of it, I'm not running into guys with the Vetterli that much now despite it getting a big effective range buff.

I personally like the compact ammo buff, but maybe they should've waited for 1.4 to add levering if at all. I think part of the problem is that winfield got an ammo buff AND an indirect rof buff in one update, so it's power spiked.
Still, levering has a pretty low rof compared to fanning.

Maybe the Winfield can 2 shot people but most compact pistols shouldn't like the Nagant pistol variants.

You still need to be pretty damn close to effectivly 2 shot people with the nagant.

If all i think the nagant should be a bit more expensive now. But i think balancing wise it is a decent gun now.

the damage drop for compact ammo is crazy, if you are far, your ammo doesn't do its original damages, the thing for long ammo is that you do full damages in 99% of the cases. Levering sucks tbh, in that range, any shotgun is greater than levering. I would use officer over a levering winny.

Also, the general consensus on levering is: you're a b*tch n00b if you use it lol. That's part of the reason why I don't use it, along with the fact that it's quite boring to kill other hunters like that. People are mostly still using mosin/lebel/sparks/dolch/uppercut in every match I play

Care to elaborate? What makes Levering for consoles? Or do you just blame consoles for every change you don't like so you can rile up the PC Master Race to your side?

It's just my opinion. I should not have presented it as a fact. Shooting from the hip spam seems more console than PC because we have more precision. This feels like something that synergizes with aim assist thus making this a console thing.

Also, not sure I said I didn't like it? Just have to adapt. More damage, faster shooting = faster death .. more time spent in the lobby and less time spent on the map. The game is punishing and that is one thing I like about it.

That's why I just creep up on players to get close to them, sometimes throwing a flash bomb or something to get even closer. It's even possible to suppress players by constantly shooting at them with compact ammo as you get closer. I doubt they want to risk peeking out to get shot in the head like that.

after 1.3.1 update i landed 5 shots with winny and the guy was still alive lmao, in 30 M

That sounds more like a bug. One winny headshot should be a 95m headshot

Sure, but it's hardly the same is it. Slow and risky vs pew pew. Marksman is even worse. Has the range on you and pew pew if you or they get too close; all with one weapon.

Good luck beating someone in long range with a winfield tho. Unless you pop them in the dome or they have NO long range weapons (read, 2 or 3 slot gun with medium or long ammo)

tbh, what i dislike the most with the massive winnie buff, is that with levering, it requires little to none skill at all, just hold down the button and hope u kill someone.. like ive been killed by people sitting in some random bush, just spraying me down, after sitting there for 20 mins..

Some people will never not criticize someone's choice it seems. Some tard left a salty comment on my profile because I was playing solo and ambushed he and his friend because they fired off a pistol in Cyprus and then ran directly towards my position near Davant without a second thought. Killed him, lost track of his teammate and backed off down the road more, killed him again when they ran the exact same straight line route towards me, then caught his teammate starting to flank me to finish it. Apparently that's "camping" nowadays.

Ive been killed like a few times by levering in the last 40 hours its much needed change and not overpowered at all. Shotguns are better 15m or less. Famning is almost always better and long range rifles still out do it for most purposes.
