Hunt: Showdown 1896

Finding a random team is impossible
As a new player coming in to Hunt the entry level required is quite high. Playing solo is perhaps the fastest way to learn, but the learning curve is steep when you are new to the game.

To find a random partner or team via the ingame search function seems like a nice way to find a more experienced player to learn from and to see how to move and fight. Plus with the added bonus of a bigger chance of revival once you die.

The problem I find myself in though is that no one, and I do mean none wants to play with the lower ranked players. Or at least everyone leaves either way.

I think that some type of punishment should be inflicted to players leaving random teams. E g a short time ban from seeking another party.

Punishment for not playing in the team with noobs, great idea! Another one: each player who killed you should pay you a financial compensation, for the moral harm.

yeah people are pretty toxic and sweaty in this game. dont expect to find tolerance here. Any true good player will play with you because hes able to 1v2 but sadly those are rare. People take this game too serious its sad. Having fun isnt allowed. Just keep on trying, maybe join a Discord to find other new players. People here will eat you for what you wrote. Good Luck

Get used to it, game is filled with homegrown wannabe pro-players. Most of them suck, but still they believe they're pro and other are not.

Join the Hunt showdown official discord, you can easily find friendly players in the LFG channels.

You are just abusing the match making system, and making it worse for everyone. A multiplayer only game thrives on fresh blood.

If you want a team with specific personal criteria, then go on Discord or something to make a premade team.

hes not wrong tho its kinda annoying to constantly get matched with people that just wont help becuase they arent even decent at the game

its normal that you get matched with people around your skill level not far below it

This mentality exists with all random match making. Even when the players are the "same skill level", people will cry that the ranks/MMRs are broken and there is no way these people belong in my bracket. People just can't handle losing with strangers.

I know how you feel dude. I started this game last week, and I don't have friends to play this with either. It's going to be like that until you hit at least prestige 1. I'm almost at prestige 2 now, it's pretty easy to level up.

At first I was mad at the veteran players constantly leaving because of me, but then after, I understood later why they were doing that. Because of this broken matchmaking system, people of all skill level are just being thrown together. The veteran players leave and match with each other because they know if they don't, another group of veteran players are going to match together anyways, so it might as well be them. Especially in this game where 1 mistake will cost you your hunter that you worked so hard to level up.

If anyone should be blamed, it should be Crytek for not implementing a proper matchmaking system.

I see high prestige players with 0.5 k/d's dodging lower prestige players, it's kind of ridiculous honestly. If you're a decent player you can make up for the lack of skilled teammates, the only people who dodge are those that are bad at the game.
