Why does everyone leave?

New player here,

I don't get it, why even go through matchmaking if you're just gonna leave? Is playing solo my destiny in every game? Even with mp?

yeah it sucks. im prestige 10 and play with everyone, but sadly many people wanna have mates higher than them.
playing with new people is difficult. the game is very complex and has a harsh learning curve. i almost always have bad experiences with new players. they dont know the basic stuff yet

This might help. Most people are looking at gear to see if you're prepared for most situations.
It doesn't apply to all players but the majority does value a well prepped partner.

EDIT: It doesn't mean you shouldn't try out all guns tho. Maybe you find something that is fun for you. Just keep trying to find partners and you'll find some eventually. (or try to play with friends/people from the hunt discord server as a pre-made group)

Take a look at this guide. I don't care about your prestige or k/d, but if you're gonna bring a battle axe and a mini-crossbow with no medkits, I'm gonna dodge the lobby the second I see you.

I'm always fully equipped, but I'm not high prestige level, and when higher levels random with me, they leave the game. Btw I always play with everyone, low prestige than mine or none prestige level.

yeah i always try to play with everyone because every game is different. but there are players who are like prestige 50+ who skip within a milli second of seeing players who are a lower level and its annoying, and other times this really pisses me off like what is the need to skip players and put people off playing all together.

Yes, btw high prestige level means nothing, recently I team up with a non prestige guy, and we had a blast.

If I spend 10 minutes trying to find someone I'm just gonna solo at this point. Such a waste of time, and if playing with pre-mades is the only way to go, I'm surprised this game hasn't died already.

0 prestige, 40 rank here. Usually takes a minute to find someone who will pity me so that's not a big of a deal. The bigger problem I see is that prestige 10 players always get downed before me, I save my ass, kill the opponent(s), go and revive my partner and it turns out he's not even playing anymore. As soon as he goes down, he quits the game. Give me time to rescue you, jeez! And I usually actually do! But in return I have to continue on my own. So far playing with experienced players is actually a worse experience for me. Anyway, feel free to add me. I'd gladly play with you.

I don't mind if they actually listened to what I tell them. I'd say stuff like, "don't scare crows/don't shoot the angry fire man" and they literally do the opposite of what I tell them and get me killed. Not a fun experience.

Not all new players are idiots, though. I've also met high prestige players that I seriously still can't figure out how they got to that level. But I guess, it's sort of like "Dumb people turn old too" kind of thing when you question how an idiot survived life for so long.
