crossbow shotbolt is trash

250 damage my ass, shot someones twice and 2 other people once upper torso. and shot one of them with a auto pistol and still didnt go down. the damn cavarly saber does 160 and is a one tap 90 percent of the time so why isnt this trash bow any good?

it actually is really good you just need to aim properly with it you didnt hit him upper torso becuase if you hit him there or in the gut it will 1 shot him from any range you probaly just hit an arm that got in the way or maybe hit his shoulder

Aiming for torso =/= hitting torso. Crossbows have projectile drop. If you hit them in the torso they die. If you hit them in the arm or leg they lose most of their hp.

Hey, was that you yesterday on the roof of Fort Carmick? I had a firefight with a guy who shot at me three times with the shot bolt. He missed once but the other two times my bullet exploded the shot before it hit me. A total fluke. He switched to a pistol and hit me but I ended up winning the firefight. It was so unlikely I wondered what he thought happened. From his perspective he may have figured those exploded shots hit me, but they didn't.

The only problem is that people running over horizon are mostly unkillable since their body consists 90% of hands and legs at that point xD

Also aiming at torso means you can hit their arms holding a gun which funnily doesn't do almost anything. But it would be the if you hit them there with Lebel or Mosin. It's just silly yet intentional design.

Actually all big crossbows are all pretty good but shotbolt is by far the strongest since its projectile doesn't fall off as much and it deals massive damage over long distance of you can land it.

Yeah, even the default big crossbow is pretty good, being able to silently oneshot to the torso from 20m
