Extremely high CPU usage

I have a GTX 1070 and an i5 6500. I play at 1080p. Pretty mid-tier setup.
But even on low/medium settings, my CPU usage is always at 100%.
Is there a remedy to this? This seems to be the only game where my processor runs 10 degrees hotter every time.

on a more serious note: its common knowledge this deep into the lifespan of Hunt that the game lets your cpu chug.

lolwut? i5 6500 is completely fine. The game is just unoptimized as ♥♥♥♥. Like the other guy said, he has an i9 and it still destroys his PC. Stop defending bad development

It does not destroy a PC wtf. 9900K at 5GHz can draw up to 140 Watts at some scenes, still no problem with decent cooling. Also this Game seem to be using AVX Workloads, that puts more heat on your CPU, so it is pretty much normal that you get higher temperatures if you did not set an AXV speed limit in your BIOS.

how much ram are you running? I am running same set up on a low end gaming PC and not having any lag issues. CPU load in the 90% range will not hurt anything as long as your cooling is good enough to prevent throttling.

I have noticed that this game is not using all cores of the CPU. On my PC it looks like its only using core 0. Core 0 is running at 100% and other cores are at around 20% I have an I7-9700k and a 2080.
