What is Handling?

What does Handling stand for?I guess it has something to do with recoil but could someone please explain it specifically?Thank you.

I ain't no expert at this sort of thing, but i think it has to do with how much your weapon sways while aiming.

I think it's this as well.. it used to mean something back when guns had real sway in the game.

It's kind of a basic idea of how much stamina you use to melee, how much the gun sways when it aims, etc, but it's not really something you should pay attention to, because there are pistols with more sway in sights but a smaller reticle when hipfiring, or less sway but more recoil

Alright,thank you guys for your inputs.I am ok with the sway,melee etc.My only problem is if handling means recoil after you take a shot.
I ve been using the obrez which i am loving right now,and i am on my way unlocking the obrez mace,which has about 10% less handling,so,if that means recoi after a shot,that s a problem because obrez has already a big recoil.
