sticky bomb overpowered against bosses
the sticky bomb makes too much damage at the moment, it makes more damage as a nitro and bomb lance. one hit with this bomb and 75% of boss health is gone. you can destroy the boss in 1 min. with it. fix it

It's exclusively a boss killer, and it's not exactly easy to hit bosses with it given how unpredictable their movements can be.

I would agree 75% is a bit much.

I would say lower the amount to 50%. I always take a sticky with me and good lord is killing a boss a trifle now.

It’s great as a solo, don’t get me wrong, but it makes it effortless to the point killing a boss is redundant.

sure it is, the butcher is too slow you can easily hit him, the assassin when he builds up and the spider is a little bit tricky, you have too choose the right moment

Yes i did bring attention to this before the patch and crytek white knights were saying that it wont change much in terms of the game, well guess what, as i had said Bomb Lance and Nitro are pointless and my team always carries a sticky bomb. The dumbing down of the game continues because casuals and wimps cant handle the stress of being ambushed while killing the boss, and streamers need something to kill the boss super fast.

What are you talking about? Spider = enter the lair alone, run after it and when it screams at you the first time stick it. Assassin = Enter the lair alone and when he tries to attack you and deploys his wrist bones, you stick him and he also explodes instantly without the fuse countdown, so so much for the "muh swarm form". The butches i wont even mention. I have literally never missed a boss with a sticky.

All I'm saying is all three of the bosses have decided to suddenly change direction in the time between my bomb being thrown and it hitting them. Even butcher has a habit of changing direction so suddenly that his model takes a second to turn around

The solution: be the only one in the lair so the boss is only focused on you. Both Assassin and Butcher are a joke since they attack you by themselves. The Spider, also be the only one in the lair so it doesn't get confused, run after it and 95% of the time it will stop and scream at you and you stick it then.

The sticky bomb is ridiculous and makes boss killing trivial, negating possible strategies, without penalising you if you don't have a boss killing weapon.

I guess? But bosses are easy anyway, and that fourth consumable slot can be the difference between living and dying in a pvp fight when the enemy doesn't have a sticky bomb. For just six dollars extra you could buy a frag bomb which means a world of difference in pvp. Besides, you can kill a boss in about 60 seconds using a melee weapon, and just check dark sight every time the monster disengages which is frequent enough that you almost never have to worry about other hunters sneaking up on you.

The only thing i am trying to do is how pathetically weak your arguments are. All your white knighting does is enabling the further dumbing down of this game. "I mean you could say the same about "muh 75%" what ifs." No you cant because its already what people are doing and it does affect gameplay. You know how many bounties i have weaseled out of a map because we found the boss quickly killed and extracted before anyone can catch up? Its not muh 75% if that 75% works every single time. Your argument is an ultimate what if because i cant even remember a match that we won and i didnt leave with full bag of consumables because now they are everywhere, on resupply points, in lootboxes in compounds and on enemy bodies even if you manage to use up all of yours pvp fights. Consumables have become a non issue in this game.
You have no arguments, you are grasping at straws all the meanwhile encouraging decisions that make this game dumber.

It's a buff to make a consumable slot solely dedicated to being anti-boss, and it's not even 100% because it's possible to miss, and it doesn't instakill the boss, and you've always been able to kill the boss for literal free just by using the axes and hammers in the compound It's a quality of life bug that gives a reason to use the sticky bomb because previously there wasn't one; and like you ignored: the sticky bomb doesn't even guarantee you'll kill the boss because if another team gets there first they'll probably kill the boss with or without a sticky bomb.

1. WTF is with you and the consumable slot fetish? You literally have 4 slots for free now AND you can find consumables on the map in abundance. Is your head working properly? or the lack of arguments make you sound this way?
2. You only miss with the sticky bomb if you're an idiot, i have explained above how i have 100@% hit rate. Spew your "you can miss" bs elswhere.
3. "and it doesn't instakill the boss" Thats funny because i distinctly remember when they wanted to make it instakill and you were there defending that as well. And no, wrong again, it gets the boss down to 25% where literally a couple of shotgun blasts and melee hits kill it, so it might as well be insta kill.
4. "and you've always been able to kill the boss for literal free just by using the axes and hammers" yes and while you run away from a triggered boss there was always the hazard of being jumped by another team.
5. "You're seriously complaining about a consumable not being completely useless" no i am complaining that white knights defend an idiotic change that provides a cheap way to remove integral parts of the experience. Might as well not have any bosses right? Just go inside a building and press F to banish right? I am certain if the devs moved in that direction people like you would just spew the "muh pvp is the real challenge anyway" garbage completely ignoring that the bits that make the game inconvenient for them are what actually make this game unique.

1. Say there's an enemy with four pvp consumables. You have 3. You're going to run out before them, and when you do, you die.
2. That's like saying you only miss players if you're an idiot or you only die if you're an idiot.
3. Yes, and even if it did instakill the boss, it wouldn't be overpowered. You're also saying a one-time use consumable and valuable ammo to kill a boss is an instakill, well you can kill it just as quickly using a stamina shot and a bomb lance, quietly, and with the added benefit of having infinite stamina for a few extra minutes - just as an example for why this argument is garbo
4. You have the same problem while using a sticky bomb, the only difference is timing - which again, not really an issue. Plus, "if you're not an idiot," other players won't ambush you while you run from the aggro'd boss, because if you're not an idiot you'll check dark sight.
5. No you're complaining about a consumable not being completely useless, and being a complete brat about it in the process, lashing out at anyone who disagrees with you with a thin veil of intellectual superiority that everyone can see through.

Ain't it funny, you object to sticky bombs but use them apparently every game, while I defend them even though I barely use them. How much of a hypocrite can you be complaining about something while using it? That's like crying about the bornheim while exclusively using it as your secondary, lol
