Hunt Showdown vs Escape from Tarkov, a healthy comparison.
Please, take this post as the way it is, purely informative, hoping it serves for something good in the future for Hunt. All the data has been collected on the game's Wiki.

EDIT 1: Everyone on this conversation keeps comparing the gameplay BTW Tarkov and Hunt, and I only made this post to compare the damn DEVELOPMENT on both games since the launch day until now. Please guys, I had no intentions to compare wich game is harder, which game has more campers or IDK which idea u guys gonna come with next, think before you start talking nonsense trash please.

EFT is more brutal on newer players, but is overall the better product since it isn't confused about it's identity.
I enjoy both games, and agree that the EFT devs have stuck with their belief of how they want the game to be, and not been swayed from that by players.

I still enjoy Hunt, I just don't like how the devs have been swayed by the player base, making changes that take away from the game's uniqueness. Some I agreed with (everyone starting with equal hp was big) others (red clues, boss lair warnings among others) I don't like at all.
The problem with Hunt was it just quadrupled down on bad decisions, and here we are, playing a husk of what otherwise could've easily won game of the year.

Another salty 'tarkoiv is better than Hunt' thread. EFT sucks a(ss compared to Hunt Showdown. Tarkoiv is just another inventory simulator xD

devs said that there is 6 or 7 ppl working on hunt right now (you can apply for the job, because they are looking for more)
hunt maps are really much harder to make than tarkov.
tarkov have base with random houses and cars in it. hunt are handcrafted to not give you insane advantage. there is almost no holes on your eye level and so on.

EFT is brutal when you dont know anything. Not just the actual gameplay and navigating the millions of buttons to do whatever, but knowing what to do. Gear and especially armor plays too big a factor. Like, geared dudes soaking up 10+ rounds from you because you dont have the right kind of ammo? It has huge potential, and the 'gun porn' is awesome but as it stands now Hunt seems like a far more streamlined product. EFT is like not enough butter spread over a huge piece of bread. I also think Hunt is more of a "side project" than a main Crytek game.

I doubt that. They could have been just as easlly announcing the servers being shut down from lack of players and revenue, if they didn't develop the game the way they did.

People kept trying to claim 1.0 was going to kill Hunt, which didn't happen. Quite the opposite actually.

Hunt and EFT, while having a similair core gameplay loop, are very different games. They both can be enjoyed for different reasons.

tarkov is unstable and crashes every 20 mins causing you to lose all gear. hunt is by way more stable atm

Tarkov: unreleased 0.1.something game
Hunt: fully-fledged release (rarely had problems with stability)

Never played T just because of it being unfinished, an early access for ages, but here's my 5 cents anyway. Btw, what's the point of topic? Are you implying Tarkov > Hunt or something? I mean, these games have as much in common as they have with PUBG.
The cool thing about this is that Hunt is not early acces anymore and has a quarter of content compared to Tarkov x)

Much more harder? You've never seen Labs on Tarkov right? You cant tell the ammount of details that game has.

Im 99% convinced of that, Hunt is just a lab product, a trial for another IP

It's kinda the opposite. I was going to be a new coop IP, but it got canceled. The scrapes being used to create Hunt Showdown. Much like what happened to Blizzard's new MMO becoming Overwatch.

So, your argument is quantity over quality? I'll pass on that. I prefer 1 plate of food I want rather than 4 plates of some messy something I'm better off not touching.
DarkKrieg 2020 年 2 月 25 日 下午 2:51
Its almost like they are two completely different games with different objectives and playstyles.

But yes, lets continue comparing apples and oranges

1.0 did effectively kill Hunt. If you notice outisde of a single hour, the game hovers at 3k, for a AAA company like CryTek, those are pathetic numbers. Especially when relevant titles in the same style have frequently hit above 50k. The game killed itself with bad design and a conflicted identity. Instead of producing a unique title, we have the mishmash of ideas that is current Hunt, which is pretty much corporeal mediocrity
